On March 7, 2022, a confirmed case of new coronary pneumonia was reported in Wendeng District of our city, which was discovered during nucleic acid testing of people returning from Qingdao. The Municipal Center for Disease Control and Prevention laboratory tested positive for the Omicron variant.

The confirmed case, male, freelancer, lives at No. 76 Hengshan Road, Wendeng District, Weihai City. He has been fully vaccinated with three doses of the new coronavirus vaccine. In accordance with relevant regulations on epidemic prevention and control, two nucleic acid tests were conducted on March 3 and 5, and the results were both negative. The third nucleic acid test on March 7 was positive.
