(1) Balance of trunk branches: That is to say, the annual cutting length, extension angle and growth ability of trunk branches at the same level should develop in a balanced way. Although the upper and lower levels of backbone branches at the same level may be different in size, the growth force still needs to be basically balanced. Of course, the main branch and the side branch should be like this. The balanced growth of backbone branches is an important guarantee for the balanced development of crown, and pruning young trees every year is the most important work content.
(2) Balance of fruiting branches: the growth of branches is closely related to the growth of their main branches. Generally, when the extension angle of main branches is vertical, the growth potential of branches on them is stronger. Of course, if the main branches droop and weaken, the bearing branches above will also become thinner and weaker. Therefore, the balance of branches should be based on the balance of backbone branches. When the branches grow excessively, it is often necessary to open the angle of the main branches first and then balance the growth force of the branches. Similarly, when the branch group grows too weak, the angle of the backbone branch should be raised first, then the branch bud should be left and the branch group should be cut off. Otherwise, even if pruning measures are adopted, it is difficult to achieve the pruning purpose of adjusting the branch potential.
