Can the leftover grape seeds be grown in pots for viewing?

The seeds left after eating grapes can be used for planting, but grapes are not suitable for pot picking because the growth of grapevines requires a relatively large space.

Specific steps for growing grape seeds:

1. Check the seeds to make sure they are healthy and in good condition. Place them in water; healthy, viable seeds will sink, discard any that float (squeeze the seeds gently with two fingers, healthy seeds should be firm to the touch).

2. Take the seeds that can be used and wash them thoroughly to remove any pulp or other things. Soak in a small amount of distilled water for 24 hours.

3. Place the seeds into the planting bed, cover them with about 1.25cm of growing medium (wet paper towels, sand, vermiculite or peat soil) and refrigerate the seeds (the ideal stratification temperature is stable at 1 -3 °C, so the refrigerator is a good place to complete this process (keep the seeds refrigerated for two to three months, do not freeze).

4. In early spring, take out the seeds from the refrigerator and plant them in a flower pot filled with fertile soil.

5. When the seedlings have grown to about 8cm tall, transplant them into larger pots (for healthy plants, let the seeds grow to 30cm indoors, with well-staggered roots) , and have at least 5-6 leaves before they can be moved outdoors).

6. Choose a suitable place for the grapevines. For grapevines to thrive, the grapevines need the right amount of sunlight, proper drainage and support.

7. Two weeks after planting, add a small amount of fertilizer to the soil around the plant. Fertilizer should be applied every spring thereafter.

8. Grapevines need a grid or tree to give them proper support. The first year, when the plants are still small, stakes are enough to support them and keep them off the ground. As they grow, they will need to be moved to a trellis or arbor. Tie the tip to the wire and let it grow along the wire.
