Saddle nose. I know. Go in! Plastic surgery! ! ! ! ! !
Saddle nose, commonly known as collapsed nose bridge, is a kind of deformity with lower nose bridge than normal and sunken nose back in different degrees, which is mostly caused by trauma, infection and congenital malformation. The basic principle of rhinoplasty is to fill the collapsed part of the nose with materials to raise the bridge of the nose to a suitable height, so as to obtain an ideal nose shape.

Judging from the development of nose, it is best to carry out saddle nose cosmetic surgery after puberty, that is, after 17 years old, because the development of nasal bone and cartilage has been basically finalized at this time, and there will not be much change after operation. Cosmetic plastic surgery is called nose augmentation surgery.

Saddle nose can be divided into simple type and complex type, and can be divided into three degrees according to its degree:

Mild: slight collapse of nasal bone, slightly flat and wide nasal dorsum, slightly concave or unnatural curvature.

Moderate: the bridge of the nose is obviously collapsed, the root of the nose is wide, the nostrils are facing the sky, the nose tip and alar are small and flat, and the nose length is short.

Severe: the back of the nose is severely depressed, the bridge of the nose is not obvious, and it is accompanied by bony structure of the external nose, nasal septum and nasal mucosa deformity.

Most people who do rhinoplasty are mild to moderate saddle noses.

There are three common methods for rhinoplasty. The first is the traditional method, which is still considered to be reliable, that is, implanting one's own tissue (bone or cartilage) into the bridge of the nose to fill it. This surgical method involves two parts of the body. First cut a bone or cartilage (such as ribs, ilium, etc.). ) Start from a certain part of the body, and then carve according to the needs of nose carving. When satisfied, make an incision in the nostril, columella and alar, and sneak a tunnel along the subcutaneous tissue of the tip of the nose and bridge of the nose along the design scheme. After proper hemostasis, the carved bone or cartilage tissue was implanted into the subcutaneous tunnel, and the incision could be sutured after trimming and modeling, and then the implanted bone or cartilage was fixed with impression glue, and the suture could be removed in 6 days, and satisfactory results were obtained.

This method of autologous tissue transplantation has the advantages of not easy rejection or allergic reaction and high success rate. However, because the operation needs two incisions and the bone tissue is easy to deform and absorb after half a year, it is not the most perfect method.

The second method is to use allogeneic tissue transplantation or synthetic polymer compounds instead of autologous bone or cartilage tissue transplantation for rhinoplasty. Its material is allogenic bone tissue, such as cartilage tissue cut from calf nose. At present, the most commonly used polymer material at home and abroad is solid silicone rubber. Using these allogenic bones or substitutes for rhinoplasty can greatly alleviate the pain of beauticians, and the materials are cheap and easy to obtain, and the shaping is convenient and beautiful. Most people will not be excluded, so they are welcomed by the masses. However, it is worth pointing out that a very small number of people will have redness and swelling reaction or even the wound will not heal easily after implanting allogeneic tissue or silicone rubber, which will eventually lead to rejection and require re-operation to remove the implant. Therefore, some people with allergies need to pay attention to rhinoplasty and cosmetic surgery, and don't do surgery easily to avoid pain.

The third method is injection rhinoplasty. This kind of surgery is being performed in many places now. The injection material is usually liquid silicone rubber. This method is simple in operation, less painful and beautiful in shaping. In addition, it can achieve the purpose of beauty without surgery, so it is welcomed by people. Everything has its duality. After this method has been popular in China for a period of time, there are also many problems. For example, after injection, silicone rubber will not be cured completely, resulting in spherical deformation and unsightly nose shape, and even skin allergic reaction, skin erosion and perforation, so its application is limited to a certain extent. Especially in the aspect of rhinoplasty, because the bridge of the nose lacks subcutaneous tissue and the skin is weak, it will cause skin ulceration, scar formation and unsightly scar. Cause lifelong pain. So liquid silicone rubber can't be used? Not exactly. In areas with abundant subcutaneous tissue, such as mandible and forehead, a small amount of liquid silicone rubber can still be injected to improve facial imbalance. But it is best not to use liquid silicone rubber for rhinoplasty.
