1. Construct a three-sided face by "cutting the face from the big face"
Open the exercise file. As can be seen from the figure, the shape and surface are connected by three independent closed curves. If the surface is built at one time, the tip will converge at the intersection of curves, so in most cases, the shell extraction and thickening operations cannot be completed. The following describes how to complete the optimization design of three sides by "cutting the big face into small faces".
1) Use the Surface Through Mesh command to create a surface. In the pop-up dialog box, click the point button under the column of "main curve" to pop up the "point" dialog box, and select the "endpoint" item in the dialog box, as shown in the figure. After setting the main curve and intersection curve, set the continuity to position.
When finished, as shown in the figure:
2, testing the surface quality
In order to check the quality of the created surface, you can check it by related commands in the analysis toolbar. Click the Face Analysis-Radius dialog box. Select the mesh surface, click OK, and the analysis result is as shown in the figure. From the analysis results, it can be seen that there is tip convergence at the sharp corner of the surface, where the surface forms a sharp edge, so the surface quality is poor.
3. Reconstruct a surface by cutting facets from a large surface.
In the analysis results, the surface of the convergent part of the tip is cut off to form a quadrilateral surface, and then the surface is reconstructed.
ST 1。 Click the Stretch button, select XC-YC as the sketch plane, and then enter sketch mode to draw the section. Set the stretch value to 15.
ST2, cutting the surface with a trimming body:
ST3。 Use the Cross Mesh Surface command again to create four edges:
2. Scan command for constructing three surfaces.
Open the 29_2 exercise file. Sweep command is also a method to build three sides. Here's how to build three sides with the sweep command.
1, directly skim off the main surface.
ST 1。 Click the scan command to pop up the Scan dialog box. Select the through arc as the scanning section, and then double-click the middle mouse button to select the other three lines as the guide lines.
