Osaka University strives to create an excellent environment and is committed to allowing Japanese students and outstanding overseas students to understand each other's culture while studying together. Currently, the proportion of international students in Osaka University’s graduate school is 14%, and the proportion in the undergraduate department is 2%. It plans to increase the proportion of international students in the department to 10% in the future.
In 2010, Osaka University has officially launched the English teaching course G30 for overseas students enrolling in the fall. In the fall of 2014, the university also plans to launch Japanese study abroad courses, hoping to attract more outstanding overseas students.
International students participating in this course will receive 6 months of Japanese language training at Osaka University starting in the fall, and will receive general professional education together with other Japanese students starting in April of the next year.
