Pure titanium is a silvery white metal. Titanium minerals are widely distributed in nature, accounting for about 0.6% of the earth's crust weight, second only to aluminum, iron, calcium, sodium, potassium and magnesium, but several times or even dozens of times more than copper, tin, manganese and zinc. The melting point of titanium is 1725℃, and its main characteristics are low density and high strength. Compared with steel, its density is only 57% of steel, while its strength and hardness are equivalent to steel. Compared with aluminum, although aluminum is less dense than titanium, its mechanical strength is poor. So titanium has the advantages of both steel (high strength) and aluminum (light weight). Pure titanium has good plasticity and toughness twice that of pure iron.

Good heat resistance and corrosion resistance.
