Electronic rhinoscope and fiber rhinoscope are two different types of rhinoscopes. Electronic nasopharyngoscope is a kind of soft endoscope, which enters the nasopharynx through the nasal cavity for examination. It can be used to examine nasopharyngeal mucosa and determine whether there are inflammation, tumor and other lesions. Electronic nasopharyngoscope has higher image magnification and can provide clearer images. In contrast, fiberoptic nasopharyngoscope is a rigid endoscope, and it also enters the nasopharynx through the nasal cavity for examination. The nasopharyngeal mucosa can be examined, but it usually does not have the auxiliary function of electronic nasoscope. Fiberoptic nasopharyngoscope may be more suitable in some cases, such as when sampling or therapeutic surgery is needed.
