Precautions and requirements for cleaning steel castings:

Steel castings cannot be moved before they are completely solidified, and they are not allowed to be sprayed with water above 600°C for forced cooling. Castings are generally cleaned after natural cooling for 2-3 hours.

(1) Work flow

Clean the casting surface and cavity waste sand → gas cut the casting gate, riser, and burrs → clean the casting residual sand again → weld and repair the casting → polish the casting →Quality acceptance

(2) Operation methods and quality standards

1. Preparation

Wear labor protection supplies as required and confirm the safety of the working environment ; Prepare all machinery, equipment and tools, and check carefully to ensure that the machinery, equipment and tools are in good condition and can operate and be used normally and safely.

2. Normal operation

(1) Use an air pick or water sand cleaning machine to clean the waste sand from the casting.

(2) After cleaning the casting waste sand, operate the cutting gun in accordance with the "Gas Cutting Safety Technical Operating Procedures" to cut the casting gate, riser, flash, and burrs.

(3) The casting is cut and meets the requirements. Operate the welding machine in accordance with the "Safety Technical Operating Procedures for Electric Welders" and repair the damaged parts of the casting to ensure the integrity of the casting.

(4) The welding repair is completed and the composite process requirements are met. Use a grinder to grind the cutting and welding repair parts of the casting to ensure that the cutting parts and welding repair parts are smooth and smooth.

(5) After polishing, conduct acceptance and prepare for heat treatment
