Second, there are three kinds of domestic tap water pipes: PPR hot-melt pipe, aluminum-plastic composite pipe and steel-plastic composite pipe. Galvanized steel pipes commonly used in the past are rarely used now because of problems such as rust, difficulty in processing and maintenance, and belong to obsolete products.
PPR hot-melt pipe: PP-R pipe is also called random polypropylene pipe, type III polypropylene pipe and PPR pipe. It has the advantages of environmental protection, light weight, high strength, corrosion resistance, smooth inner wall without scaling, simple construction and maintenance, long service life and so on, and its application range is very wide.
The connection of PPR hot-melt pipe adopts hot melt, and the joint is integrated, which is very firm and not easy to leak. The decoration buried trench will not be corroded.
PPR hot-melt pipes are divided into cold water pipes and hot water pipes, among which the wall thickness of hot water pipes is thicker than that of cold water pipes, which has the characteristics of high temperature and high pressure resistance. It is suggested that PPR hot water pipe should be used as domestic water supply pipe as far as possible.
The strength of PPR is very low. When the ambient temperature reaches 0 degrees, if the pipeline freezes, it is easy to burst.
Aluminum-plastic composite pipe: add a layer of aluminum pipe on the wall of PPR pipe. In essence, the aluminum-plastic pipe and PPR pipe are combined into one, which not only overcomes the shortcomings that the aluminum-plastic pipe is not easy to bend and the strength of the PPR pipe is slightly poor, but also highlights the characteristics of high strength and good flexibility of the aluminum-plastic pipe and has good low-temperature characteristics. If the requirements of home improvement are relatively high, the water supply pipe should be made of aluminum-plastic composite pipe.
Steel-plastic composite pipe: the strength is high, but the construction and maintenance are relatively difficult, and it is rarely used in home decoration.
