It's my first time here, and so is Lugu Lake. But what makes me marvel, admire and unforgettable for a long time is only the quiet Lugu Lake.
How to choose the self-driving route to Lugu Lake?
Lugu Lake, starting from Kunming, shows three roads on the navigation. I chose the shortest distance. I won't know until I open it. Provincial road S2 16 is the least choice. Cross-border Panzhihua, over the unknown mountains, over and over again ... Then there is a long downhill, the night is deep, and the car is moving forward, but you can't know what is waiting for you ahead, so that when you meet a car on the winding road, I wipe it on the guardrail, and the harsh and strange friction makes me think that my car has suffered heavy losses. Fortunately, it should be said that only the side of the car was scratched, but recalling the meeting that night still makes me nervous. So, if you go to Lugu Lake, remember: don't go to Panzhihua! Don't take S2 16 in Sichuan, it's too dangerous, too boring and too painful. Please take the direction of Dali and Lijiang and make a detour, but the road conditions are good and the time may not be long.
Lugu Lake, how to tour around the lake?
Lugu Lake has been circled, and there are many strategies and experiences to share online. I just want to share my strategy of traveling around Lugu Lake from the perspective of someone who grew up in the mountains and lived in the city for a long time. It can't be said to be the best strategy, but I think it should be the simplest and most comfortable one.
If you choose to cross from Panzhihua to Lugu Lake like me, I suggest you sail through Caohai first, open the first stop of Lugu Lake, then go sightseeing along Daluo Water, pass through Rige, then go in the direction of Lugu Lake Town, and finally make a detour to Caohai, which is a complete circle. Tip: If you don't go to Lijiang, you can return to Panzhihua from the direction of entering Lugu Lake instead of going to Caohai. Of course, instead of going to Caohai, you can pilot Luguhu Town first, and then drive along Dazu Village to Li Ge, Daluoshui and Caohai.
If you drive into Lugu Lake from Lijiang, you can choose two directions for navigation and positioning: one is to locate Daluo Water, then go to Caohai, then navigate the direction of Lugu Lake Town, then drive along lovers beach and Dazu Village, and finally reach Rige; The second is to locate Rige, then navigate to Dazu Village and Lover Beach, then to Luguhu Town and Caohai, and finally to Daluoshui.
Since Lugu Lake can travel around, you don't have to worry about which direction to take by car. However, if the time is at night, don't take the roads of Lugu Lake Town, Lovers Beach, Dazu Village, Nisai and Rige (the same is true in the opposite direction), because the roads are narrow and the road conditions are worse than Daluo Water. It is recommended to drive through Lugu Lake Town, Lovers Beach, Dazu Village and Rige during the day.

Lugu Lake has been given many points by online predecessors, such as Luodashui, Judy, Rige, Nisai, Luoxiaoshui, Dazu Village, Lovers Beach, Lugu Lake Town, Zhaojiawan, Luowa, Wuzhiluo, Caohai, Nawa, Shankua, Sancun and so on.
When you mention these points, you will definitely have the essence of Lugu Lake. I spent a day walking slowly around Lugu Lake, so I gave three points from my point of view for the reference of later generations: first, beating Luoshui; The second is Rigg; Third, Dazu village and lovers beach, Nisai is also good. The places mentioned in the above three points are also good places for referees to spend the night, but the first one is an inn near Daluoshui Lake. You can sit by the lake with a chair, and the view is very wide. Other places are also quite good. For example, staying in Rige Island will have a feeling of secluded mountains and streams; Staying at lover's beach will feel like a seaside holiday. In a word, I mentioned these points, so you can rest assured that you won't feel sorry.
Daluo water, with a wide view, the water is on the roadside of the inn, and there is a boating dock. There is a very suitable place for taking photos (see photo), where accommodation, catering and parking are relatively mature. Rowing in Rhoda waters can take you to Ribibi Island. There are many kinds of boating here, but all of them are around Ribibi Island, and the whole journey is more than 1 hour. Originally, I chose to go to Heiwaao Island and Hibibi Island. The cost was more than 300, and the whole journey took more than 3 hours. But the boating brother said that no one else would go, which means it is difficult to team up to Heiwaao Island and Ribibi Island.
Rigg, find a place that will make people want to cry quietly. Rige and Rige Island are located near Lugu Lake near Goddess Mountain. There are more angles to take pictures here than Rhoda water. Regardless of the angle or the layering of the terrain, Li Ge is the best photo location in Lugu Lake. Let's put it this way: Riggs has a natural frame of reference for taking art photos! The local boatman told me that the mirror of the sky in Lugu Lake is in Li Ge (see photos). Indeed, as the boatman said, the mirror of the sky in Li Ge is purer and more transparent, and the water surface is flatter and quieter. Nisai, Xiaoluoshui, Dazu Village, Lover Beach, start from Rig, follow Nisai, and drive towards Lover Beach. The current road conditions are relatively poor. In many places, only one car can pass through, and you need to get on the wrong bus when you meet it. So I suggest you don't go this way by force at night, but you should control the risks. This direction will pass the scenic stone tablet of Lugu Lake (see photo), which is worth taking a commemorative photo here. As for the experiences of Nisai, Xiaoluoshui, Dazu Village and Lover Beach, I only stayed for a short time, but when we approached these points, everything was simpler than Daluoshui and Rige, except for the sand in Lover Beach, but swimming was not allowed in the whole Lugu Lake.
The introduction of the essence of Lugu Lake can end here, but there is still one place I have to mention. After all, this name instilled by the world is too romantic and tempting. This is the Goddess Bay in Lugu Lake. If a friend asks me: Is the Goddess Bay in Lugu Lake worth visiting? I will tell her/him: it's not worth going! The reasons are as follows: First, the Goddess Bay is too far away from the main road, and the road to the finish line after entering is chaotic; The second is to walk 100 meters to Goddess Bay. Because the local villagers made the water very muddy when I went, the key is that the left and right width of the field of vision is relatively narrow, and the water surface of Lugu Lake I can see is not strong. Some people say it is romantic to watch the sunset in Goddess Bay. It happened to be the sunset when I went, but I didn't see the beautiful sunset. Of course, I can't say that the weather I went to was not good. I mean, after a long drive, the road at the end is messy and the view is narrow, just to watch the sunset? Like me, the weather is fine and the sun has set. What can I do if I don't see it? So, whether to go to Goddess Bay or not, I'll stop here. If there is enough time and a lot of money, boating in Goddess Bay is probably a bit interesting.
