Natural jewelry and jade are the essence of nature. According to the definition of national standard (GB/T 16552-20 10), natural jewelry refers to the materials that are naturally produced, beautiful, durable and rare, and have technological value, and can be processed into ornaments. Natural jewelry and jade can be divided into three categories: natural gem, natural jade and natural organic gem.
Natural gems: mineral single crystals (including twins) produced in nature are beautiful, durable and rare, and can be processed into ornaments. Such as diamonds, rubies, sapphires and emeralds. Usually, the Mohs hardness of gemstones is greater than or equal to 7.
Features: beautiful, durable and rare.
The King of Gems-Diamonds
Natural jade: a mineral aggregate with beautiful, durable, rare and technological value, and a few are amorphous. For example, jade, hetian jade, dushan jade, jade, turquoise, lapis lazuli, opal, malachite and so on.
Internationally recognized high-grade jade is jadeite and nephrite. (commonly known as jade and hetian jade). The Mohs hardness of jadeite is 6.5-7, and that of Hetian jade is 6.0-6.5.
Features: beautiful, durable, rare and of scientific and technological value.
Emerald King-Emerald
Natural organic gemstone: It is produced by natural organisms, partially or completely composed of organic substances, and can be used as a material for jewelry and ornaments. Such as pearls, amber, coral, ivory, tortoiseshell and so on. Natural organic gems are usually related to biological functions, such as biological remains (corals), fruits of life (pearls), biological evolution (amber) and so on. At present, there are not many kinds of natural organic gemstones, less than 10. Among them, although there are some processes involved in artificial pearl cultivation, the cultivation process is similar to that of natural pearls, and the products are similar. In addition, natural pearls are almost extinct at present, so cultured pearls can be directly named as "pearls" and classified as natural organic gems. Some of them belong to natural organisms or ecological protection varieties, and their development and utilization (such as ivory and tortoise shell) have been banned. There are also some products that are extremely low and rarely seen in the market.
Mohs hardness is not high (generally 2-4), and it is easy to react with acid and alkali, so it is only beautiful and rare.
Features: beautiful and rare.
