Emerald wool is jadeite original stone. Emerald wool is the floorboard of jadeite from mining area to finished product, also called jadeite rough stone. It was formed by metamorphism at low temperature and extremely high pressure, and basically distributed in areas with strong crustal movement.
According to the production environment, jadeite wool can be roughly divided into two categories: rock and water stone, and can also be subdivided into six categories: thick cobblestone, thin cobblestone, skinless cobblestone, half-mountain and half-water stone, river bottom water stone and dew stone.
It is difficult to infer the internal situation of thick-skinned rocks, but the internal situation of some species, water and colors can be roughly inferred from the appearance of Bopishan, and the color of skinless rocks is exposed. There are many cracks and folds in the water stone in the middle of the mountain, and the water stone at the bottom of the river is fine in texture and good in head. Exposed water stones are washed away by water and raise the riverbed, leaving them exposed on the surface for a long time.
According to the characteristics of leather shell, jadeite wool can be divided into yellow sand skin, white sand skin, blue water skin, bacon skin, black skin, lime skin and oil green skin. Among them, the yellow sand skin has obvious sand grains, and the white sand skin is thin, so the water color inside can be roughly inferred. Blue sand skin has smooth surface and fine texture, and bacon skin has greasy luster.
