Eight eccentrics in Yunnan

The eight eccentrics in Yunnan mentioned here are different from the eighteen eccentrics in Yunnan that people often say.

The formation of "eighteen eccentrics in Yunnan" is attributed to the complex geographical environment, unique climatic conditions and rich and colorful national culture. In today's increasingly developed tourism industry, "18 eccentrics in Yunnan" has become an eye-catching brand, so that food and clothing have also played this brand. There are many versions of eighteen eccentrics in Yunnan, which can be divided into old and new ones. Together, it far exceeds the number of eighteen, and it is said that there are as many as "998 1 freak". In fact, deductively speaking, it should be no problem for Yunnan's "odd" to rise to three digits.

Although my trip to Yunnan came and went in a hurry, I found several new "strange things". After carefully understanding and appreciating its uniqueness, I wrote down the "tourism version" of this "Yunnan Eight Monsters":

The first strange: calligraphy and painting love to be sold in restaurants. In Kunming, the cultural atmosphere is very strong and the local people have a strong sense of the market. They regard the restaurant as a good place to auction calligraphy and painting. Whenever eating, the restaurant doubles as an auction house. Facing the vast number of diners, the host fully mobilized his eloquence and directed the auction program with great excitement. Sometimes the calligrapher splashed ink on the spot, which enhanced the elegant atmosphere of the auction site. Among the calligraphy and paintings auctioned, some works are of high grade and low price. A framed calligraphy and painting is generally more than 100 yuan. As a result, some customers give generously, and after eating, they hold one or more scrolls in their hands. Of course, for people who like to eat in a quiet environment, this strange thing in Yunnan sometimes affects their appetite.

The second monster: the store specializes in killing "fellow villagers" The "hometown shop" along the national highway in Yunnan is very famous, which is different from the roadside point in the north. These shops are luxuriously decorated and grand in scale, and most of them deal in jewelry. It's not uncommon to find treasures priced at several hundred thousand yuan in shops. The so-called "hometown" is actually a sales promotion method of the store. In those "hometown shops", after trying to ask the tourists' hometown, the salesperson will say "surprise": "Our boss is from there, too. You are a fellow villager! " As soon as the tourists heard it, they suddenly felt a sense of intimacy. Because of the need of promotion, the boss has many double bodies and can come out to win tourists at any time when needed. When the tour group arrives at the store, the clerk will immediately ask the boss or the boss to double his health. Tourists are warmly invited to get together in the living room. The waiter held good tea and narrated "homesickness" in a warm atmosphere. Some bosses know little about "hometown" and say, "My father lives in your place, and I go back to visit him every year. I will definitely visit you next time I go back. " Some bosses also ask tourists to leave their phone numbers so that they can contact them on their next visit. Northerners are very loyal, and after warmly greeting the "fellow villagers" who open stores in other places, they often take out their tickets and contribute them to the "fellow villagers". Of course, the things sold by "fellow villagers" are repeatedly discounted, and the price is very "favorable". It is said that a tourist bought a jade bracelet in the "hometown shop" for several thousand yuan, and the owner of the "hometown" repeatedly assured that it was the first-class Burmese jade. The real "A goods" are generally more than 10,000 yuan, but they can't be sold from time to time because of their hometown friendship. This makes the buyer grateful. Who knows that after arriving in Kunming, the buyer went to the detection center of the Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources for identification, only to find that it was a fake, and it could be bought at the stall for tens of dollars.

The third monster: tour guides are easy to earn extra money. Speaking of which, the tour guide in Yunnan must be unhappy. Yunnan is a big tourist province. Of course, most tour guides are of very high quality, but it does not rule out that there are some mercenary tour guides. The prices of goods in tourist specialty stores there are definitely higher than those in general shopping malls. Scenic spots are what tourists want to see, and shops are what tour guides want to revolve around money, so tour guides will mobilize and say, "Tourism, now pay attention to' three lights'-sightseeing at scenic spots, spend all the money on shopping and win glory for the country." The tour guide is more concerned about taking you shopping while showing you the scenic spots. In some places, there is an unwritten rule: tour guides can take tourists to tourist shops for shopping and get 30% commission. Imagine that if a tour group buys something worth 1000 yuan, the tour guide can get 300 yuan. Is it easy to earn extra money? The temptation is too great. Many locals take the tour guide exam, but it is very difficult to take the tour guide exam, because they not only need extensive knowledge, but also have to be able to speak, sing and work hard. Therefore, there is a saying that "postgraduate entrance examination is difficult", and most people can only hope to "guide" and sigh. Our tour group has been unhappy because of less shopping. At the gate of a shopping mall, she murmured to her acquaintances, "Here come a group of skinny people!" "Although the voice is not big, it is a dialect, but it is still understood by us. Another time, when I went to a jewelry city, someone was too tired to get off the bus. The driver was furious and shouted, "Get out! What are you doing here? "If you don't buy it, you have to go and see it. Do you want the tour guide to lose money?" Perhaps it is because we are a "thin group", the enthusiasm of a tour guide is getting worse and worse, and finally it is as cold as ice.

The fourth monster: portraits can be sold cheaply. In many scenic spots, young minority girls are dressed in costumes and tourists are invited to take photos with them. If you go to Tiger Leaping Gorge, a simple and beautiful Tibetan girl will enthusiastically say, "Zhuo Ma, take a picture!" "Tashi, take a group photo!" ; In butterfly spring, the young and beautiful "five golden flowers" gently opened their lips to male tourists: "Brother Peng, take a photo with the five golden flowers!" They don't care much about their portrait rights, but only as a means to increase their income. His portrait right is very cheap. In Tiger Leaping Gorge, he took photos with Tibetan and Yi girls. Generally, it's 2 yuan money per person. When he meets tourists who bargain, he also takes photos for each person 1 yuan. In butterfly spring, taking a photo with five golden flowers only costs 5 yuan money. From another perspective, this is also the strengthening of local market awareness.

The fifth monster: aged tea is a gold nugget. Generally speaking, the newer the tea, the better. In the second year, tea often goes bad, not to mention old tea. However, the older Yunnan Pu 'er tea is, the better. The price of Pu 'er tea over 80 years is higher than that of gold. Pu 'er tea soup is red in color, mild and delicious, suitable for men, women and children. It can not only quench thirst and refresh oneself, but also has unique health care function, and is called a treasure in Yunnan. Pu 'er tea is made from fermented sun-cured green tea, which sells well in Hong Kong, Macau, France, Japan and Southeast Asia. Now Pu 'er tea is divided into two categories: loose tea and autoclaved molding. Loose tea is plump in appearance, brownish red in color (commonly known as "pig liver color") or grayish white; Pressed tea is made from Pu 'er loose tea by steaming and compression, and it is divided into bowl-shaped Pu 'er Tuo tea, rectangular Pu 'er brick tea and round seven-cake tea. Qizi cake tea is shaped like a full moon, and is often given to relatives and friends as a bride price and on holidays, meaning family reunion, full house of children and grandchildren, and prosperity. In some ethnic areas, children must be given seven cakes of tea when they get married. Pu 'er tea can be stored for a long time, with the characteristics that the older it is, the more fragrant it is. In the Qing Dynasty, Pu 'er tea was a treasure that Yunnan local authorities paid tribute to the emperor. In A Dream of Red Mansions written by Cao Xueqin, the Jia family also drinks Pu 'er tea. It can be seen that hundreds of years ago, Pu 'er tea was the treasure of official drinking, indicating the preciousness and elegance of Pu 'er tea.

The sixth strange: the national policy is tolerant and kind. Yunnan is a big ethnic province with many ethnic minorities, among which 15 ethnic group is not found in other provinces. In order to take care of ethnic minorities, the state allows them to enjoy more tolerant policies than the Han nationality in fertility, education, further education, governance and employment. Every year, the state gives a lot of manpower and material resources to help the development of ethnic minorities, which can be said to be a kindness to ethnic minorities. However, some ethnic extremists are ungrateful and like to do things against the government with the behind-the-scenes support of hostile forces. Even some college students are taken care of by the state and admitted to universities with lower scores than Han students. At the same time, they go to school with state subsidies, but their words and deeds are excessive and they do things that affect national unity and the reunification of the motherland. As the locals say, "The fat steamed stuffed bun fed the dog, and it bit you in turn."

The seventh monster: wear it on the natural scenery. In the long-term production and life, various ethnic minorities in Yunnan have created national costumes with different styles, distinctive features and gorgeous colors. These costumes show the concept of harmonious coexistence between man and nature, and integrate natural scenery into one, just like blooming flowers with different styles. For example, under the influence of the beautiful scenery of Cangshan Lake and Erhai Lake, Bai women take Xiaguan Wind, Shangguan Flower, Cangshan Snow and Erhai Moon as their own clothes, and white tops, red vests and trousers with harmonious colors set off their beauty. The sheepskin shawl of Naxi women in Lijiang has a unique meaning. Generally, it is made of a whole piece of pure black sheepskin, the top is cut, the bottom is rounded, and the top has a black border with a width of 6 cm. Then, seven colored embroidered circular cloth discs are nailed on the bottom row, and two white sheepskin streamers are hung in the center of each circle, representing the Big Dipper, commonly known as "Dai Yue wearing a star" to show the meaning of hard work. Another view is that sheepskin with a round top and a round bottom is cut to imitate the shape of a frog, while Naxi people with a disc on their back call it "Bamiao", which means "frog's eyes". This is the product of the fusion of Lijiang indigenous farmers who worship frogs and the ancient Qiang people who worship sheep to form Naxi nationality. Yi women living in mountainous areas get beautiful inspiration from gorgeous mountain flowers, so that all kinds of flowers bloom on their clothes. Jingpo men look dashing in green underwear and a long knife at their waist. The clothes of Jingpo women are covered with silver bubbles, as if they were bright stars in the sky. Dai women living in subtropical areas, dressed in fresh and bright tights and skirts, show their unique curvaceous beauty to the fullest.

The eighth monster: writing wrong Chinese characters makes people guessing. People in Yunnan like innovation, and sometimes they deliberately misspell Chinese characters to express a specific meaning. It takes an unsuspecting person a lot of effort to guess the meaning. For example, there is an inscription in the Stone Forest, in which the word "brother" is misspelled intentionally, because the inscription is modest, because the karst landform of the Stone Forest (also called karst landform) is typical in Yugoslavia, and the stone forest in Lunan County cannot claim to be the first, but should be the brother, so the word "brother" is written as "brother". Above the gate of the ancient city of Dali, there are four characters of "the state of documents", in which the vertical left of the word "state" is deliberately left blank, which is said to also express the meaning of modesty and not getting ahead. These are easy to understand, but some words are hard to ponder. For example, there is a couplet in Tianjingge in Erhai Lake, the first couplet is "Richang Jingtian Tongxia" and the second couplet is "Peng Yue Town Gankun". The fourth word in the first part consists of four "days", which are pronounced as "rings" by local people. The third and fourth words in the second couplet are composed of three "moons" and four "moons" respectively, which are pronounced as "you" and "Lan" in turn-who can guess such a profound meaning!
