It can be seen that the daughter of the Qing emperor is called a "princess", while the daughter born to the queen can become a "princess Julun". The daughters of other concubines (including the adopted daughter of the queen) are all called "Princess Heshuo", while the daughters of royalty are called "Gege", and the boundaries are very strict.
Let's take a look at the last princess in China, the long-lived princess in the past.
Princess Rongshou of Gulun is actually a "fake princess" because she was born not by the emperor, but by Prince Gong. Daughter of. She can become a princess because Cixi looks up to her.
According to legend, after the death of Emperor Xianfeng in A.D. 186 1, his only son, Zai Chun, ascended the throne as Tongzhi Emperor. Because Zai Chun was only 6 years old, Xianfeng found him an assistant minister, namely Prince Zai Yuan, Zheng Qinwang Duanhua, Su Shun and Jing Shou. Among the five military ministers, Yin Mu, Kuang Yuan, Du Han and Jiao Youying are eight. However, to Emperor Xianfeng's surprise, the "Eight Ministers of Gu Ming" he worked hard to create could not beat a 26-year-old woman, Cixi.
Cixi United with Ci 'an in the game of Prince Gong? With the support of Emperor Xianfeng, a coup was suddenly staged at the funeral, and eight assistant ministers were either killed or dismissed. Since then, Cixi has been listening to politics for 47 years. After the Empress Dowager Cixi listened to politics, she competed with the pack. He was highly valued and became an important official of North Korea. At the same time, she adopted her eldest daughter Rongshou, who was only 10 years old, as her adopted daughter, and was awarded the title of Princess Julun, who was raised in the palace. Everyone in the harem called her big princess.
Two years later, Cixi began to "choose a husband" for Rong Shou. Soon, Rong Shou, who was only 12 years old, married his "cousin"-the eldest son Zhiduan, born to Princess Shou Engulun, the sixth daughter of Daoguang, and his mother-in-law, Jingshou. Although they are close relatives, Zhi Duan's conduct is very good. After marriage, husband and wife love each other and envy others. However, such a good time did not last long. After only five years, Zhi Duan died of illness. Princess Rongshou 17 became a widow.
After Rongshou was widowed, Cixi took her to live in the palace to relieve her depression. Although Rong Shou looks ordinary, he is honest and courageous, and he is the only one who can get along with Cixi. On the one hand, Cixi trusts her, on the other hand, she is afraid of her. Therefore, in the face of Rongshou's suggestion, Cixi will probably listen.
Cixi likes to wear colorful clothes. Rong Shou big princess saw it and bluntly said, "My mother is an old woman. She should dress appropriately, not too gaudy and immature." Cixi listened to her advice very much. From then on, when she met Rongshou, she always wore simple clothes, and even dared not wear heavy makeup or wear more jewelry.
On one occasion, someone gave Cixi an extremely gorgeous robe, which was woven by craftsmen in the south of the Yangtze River with brocade. It is not only exquisite in workmanship, but also valuable to this border town. Cixi likes this robe very much and often wears it to praise herself. As a result, this dress was known by Rongshou, and Rongshou immediately entered the palace and told Cixi that he had broken his word. It was not until Cixi promised not to wear this dress again that Rong Shou stopped.
Thirteen years of Tongzhi, the little living Tongzhi also died of illness. Cixi asked Prince Yi Xuan and Zai Tian, the son of his sister Rong Er, to inherit Xianfeng instead of Tongzhi's throne. Zai Tian was Emperor Guangxu.
At that time, Guangxu was only 4 years old, and Cixi looked at Guangxu as a puppet very closely and had no freedom at all. It is Princess Rongshou who cares for and protects him.
Rongshou sympathized with the unfortunate situation of Emperor Guangxu, always took the overall situation into consideration and coordinated the relationship and contradiction between Cixi and Guangxu. Later, Emperor Guangxu, with the support of Kang Youwei and Tan Sitong, launched the Reform Movement of 1898. The result was suppressed by Cixi. After refuting the reformists to pieces, Cixi began to attack Emperor Guangxu. Especially when I heard that Emperor Guangxu attempted to commit suicide by a coup, Cixi was furious and wanted to abolish Emperor Guangxu and kill him with a club to avoid future troubles. At this time, Rongshou is on his way to visit relatives in Jehol. After hearing the news, he went back to the palace overnight. He was moved and felt something. He knelt down and begged Cixi to spare Guangxu's life. In the end, Cixi spared Guangxu's life and only put him under house arrest in Yingtai.
Cixi believed that the reason why Guangxu dared to "rebel" was Pearl Krabs, Guangxu's favorite concubine. Zhen Fei was originally beautiful, usually neither humble nor supercilious, and even dared to openly contradict Cixi. The contradiction between Cixi and her is already deep. Moreover, the real princess once cried to Princess Rongshou about the danger of Emperor Guangxu's execution and asked the princess to protect the emperor. To this end, Cixi decided to put a black hand on Princess Zhen in order to completely isolate Emperor Guangxu. Later, Eight-Nation Alliance invaded Beijing, and Cixi fled with Emperor Guangxu. As a result, when she left, she ordered the eunuch to push Zhenfei into the well of the Forbidden City and drowned. At this time, Princess Rongshou has taken refuge in the palace and then returned to the palace. She was heartbroken to learn that Princess Zhen had died. She repented and said six words: I'm sorry, Zhenfei.
However, Princess Rongshou did not save Emperor Guangxu after all. 1908, Cixi, who knew her time was coming, poisoned Emperor Guangxu and arranged an heir. In this way, after the sudden death of Emperor Guangxu, Cixi also died. Cixi would never have thought that the honor she was most afraid of before her death turned out to be the person who buried herself safely. It is said that after the sudden death of an emperor, there was chaos in the ruling and opposition parties. The bodies of the Emperor and the Empress Dowager were hugging each other on the bed board, and the bodies had not been put away. Rongshou endured grief and found eunuchs to take charge, assign tasks and arrange etiquette. As a result, the scenery of Cixi and Emperor Guangxu was buried in an orderly way.
1924, Princess Rongshou, who was 7 1 year old, passed away and was buried on the south side of Dongleiqiao Village in lishuiqiao outside Andingmen, thus ending a generation of legends.
