Wu Ruihua, Ph.D., doctoral supervisor, professor of Jewelry College of China Geo University. He graduated from the Chemistry Department of Jilin University in his early years, and later obtained his master's and doctor's degrees from China Geo University. 1983 was assigned to Beijing Gemstone Research Institute of the Ministry of Geology and Mineral Resources, specializing in gem identification and color change research. 1February, 1993, due to the need of establishing gemmology specialty, he was transferred back to his alma mater to teach, and served as deputy director of gemmology teaching and research section of materials department and vice president of jewelry college.

1993 transferred to dida, mainly engaged in teaching, scientific research and jewelry appraisal. Breakthrough progress has been made in the study of color causes and color improvement of sapphires, rubies, crystals, diamonds and xiuyan jade. Especially, the color research and discoloration of corundum red and sapphire are at the leading level at home and abroad. More than 800 students were taught face to face. Now, in addition to undergraduate and junior college teaching, there are 14 master students and 2 doctoral students to guide gemology research. At the same time undertake scientific research tasks. The gem teaching team led by her has won the first prize of teaching achievement and the third prize of scientific research achievement of the Ministry.

Over the years, I have been engaged in jewelry education, and have made in-depth research on the color changes in colored gems, and made many technical breakthroughs. Won the third prize of the Ministry of Geology and Mineral Resources for scientific and technological progress, 2 national invention patents 1 and the first prize of school teaching achievements 1. 28 graduate students and 3 doctoral students have been trained.

He has independently written, co-authored and translated 3 monographs, among which "Methods of Improvement and Identification of Natural Gems" won the third prize of scientific and technological progress of the Ministry of Land and Resources, and 9000 copies have been published, all of which are sold out and are being reprinted.

Published more than 30 academic papers (first author), of which 4 papers entered the international retrieval system of Chemical Abstracts in the United States; Invited by the Gemmological Society of Sri Lanka to give lectures and cooperate. Later, he was invited to give lectures in Thailand, Myanmar, Vietnam and other places.
