Who knows the origin of Chu surname?
Chu Kun (1457— 15 13),

The word Jingfu,no. Chai Xu, was born in Taizhou, Zhili, Ming Dynasty. Ancestors lived in Piling (now Changzhou) and moved to Taizhou in the Yuan Dynasty. Chuchu was brilliant at an early age. He can read at the age of five and write articles at the age of nine, so he is called a "child prodigy". At the age of sixteen, Qian Lou, the examiner at that time, predicted that Chuchu would "one day become the first in the world". In the 19th year of Chenghua (1483), he took the provincial examination in autumn, ranking first in Xie Yuan. The following spring, I went to Beijing for an exam as Hui Yuan. Chu Xu is famous for his excellent articles. When palace examination was the first scholar in Dimethyl, he was called Chuanyi. In the history of Taizhou, there was only one person who was the first in Xie Yuan, Huiyuan and Gongkao Ermei. Chu Kun lived a clean and honest life and had a good reputation in North Korea for more than 20 years. Biographies of Chu and Kun are found in Ming History, Records of Jiangnan, Records of Yangzhou Prefecture and Records of Taizhou.

Legend has it that Chuchu's father used to be an appraiser (a businessman specializing in overseas business), who traveled across the ocean all the year round, selling medicinal materials, spices, jewelry and fur. On one occasion, while sailing in the misty ocean, the wind suddenly blew up, the sky was dark, and the huge waves soared, engulfing the wooden boat and destroying all three people on board. In a hurry, Gong Chu grabbed a plank and went with the flow. At first, he was conscious, but he soon lost consciousness.

When he woke up and found himself being held by a man with long hair, he was trembling with fear and closed his eyes at once. The man put Gong Chu in a cave made of animal hair, and then turned away. When Gong Chu saw that the man didn't want to hurt himself, he boldly opened his eyes. I saw that man was not a beast, but a woman. It turned out that this woman living in the wild found Gong Chu in a coma while hunting by the sea, and carried him back to the cave. Later, she became Lao Gong's spouse and gave birth to a man and a woman. They love each other and are deeply attached to each other.

Although they share the same interests, Gong Chu always thinks about the civilized life of his motherland and looks forward to going home one day. He always pays attention to collecting some rhinoceros horn, velvet antler, coral, hawksbill and high-grade fur and hiding it in a big tree hole. He persistently taught his son to read, read, learn righteousness and conduct etiquette every day, and gave his son a name-Chuxu.

Time flies, Chuchu is six or seven years old. On this day, father and son catch fish at the seaside. Chu CuO was sharp-eyed and found a black spot moving on the sea in the distance. After a while, a closer look showed that it was a seagoing ship.

This ship comes from that island. On board are a group of Fujian businessmen who specialize in overseas business. They sailed to this desert island because the wind was too strong and deviated from the channel. At first, the people on board saw Chuchu and his son and thought they were savages. After Gong Chu's recommendation, all the people on board sympathized with his misfortune and took their father and son aboard.

Gong Chu also asked the people on board to wait for him and let him take the buried treasure to the ship. After the things arrived on the boat, he wanted to take the mother and daughter who had just given birth to a little girl, but at this moment, the woman chased the little girl to the seaside. Far away, I saw Chuchu and his son standing at the bow, shouting at the ships. Her long hair fluttered in the wind and stared at a pair of big eyes, which was really scary. Behind her, a group of people came again. The people on board were afraid that they would come to me badly, so they were busy anchoring and sailing ahead of time. Gong Chu insisted on going ashore to take the helm. At loggerheads, the ship separated from the shore. Seeing that she couldn't get on the boat, the woman was crying on the shore with her child in her arms. Later, she took the child to the sea in despair, but when she saw her long hair rippling only a few times on the sea, she sank.

When Chuchu saw her mother jump into the sea, she cried and jumped into the sea-fortunately, she was hugged. Gong Chu also lamented and was heartbroken. Suddenly, I saw the waves in the sea, showing a beach, as if a person was looking up. People call it "Prince Beach".

Chuchu and his son were finally brought back to China by ship. The shipmates sympathized with their experiences and gave gifts when they left. They brought back many precious goods, such as spices and furs, and returned to Taizhou to become rich households.

Later, in memory of his mother, Chu Xu once built a tall building in the eastern suburb of Taizhou, named "Wanghai Building". In fact, everyone in Taizhou knows that "Wanghailou" is actually "Wangmulou".

Chu Guan was a famous genius in ancient Taizhou. Taizhou has many legends, stories, allusions and place names about him. It can be said that his story runs through the historical development of Taizhou.

Storage and irrigation are as important to Taizhou as Pizhou pepper is to Yangzhou and Tang Bohu is to Suzhou. But there is no record of water storage and irrigation in Taizhou except one water storage and irrigation lane. It is said that there is a tomb in Tangjialou, Kowloon, which has not been found. Only there are stone carvings in the park, which are sacred animals in front of its tomb, but most people don't know these. Unfortunately, these legends, allusions and stories about storage and irrigation are also scattered among the people, and no one deliberately collects them.

It can be completely sorted out, and these stored irrigation things can be sorted into a culture, thus enriching the history and culture of the city, enhancing the popularity of Taizhou and perfecting the humanistic tourism in Taizhou.

Although Chu Kun has been away from us for nearly 500 years, people are still talking about the saying that Si Ren can read and recite at the age of five, and write articles at the age of nine, and that he is an official and a mother. After three years of excavation and arrangement, the descendants of Chu Kun rebuilt the third edition of Taizhou Chu branch. On September 3rd, 30 representatives of Chu Kun's descendants at home and abroad gathered in Hailing to hold the first genealogy celebration and ancestor worship ceremony in our city. A large number of newly discovered historical materials about Chu have been compiled into a new family tree, and a generation of celebrities have once again appeared vividly in front of us.

According to Ming History, Chu Xu was brilliant from an early age. At the age of five, he could read aloud. At the age of nine, he was called a "child prodigy". Chu not only traveled all over Beijing as an official, but also was honest and clean. His works are also very rich, and he once left the famous Collection of Chai Xuwen. However, the volume and specific content of this masterpiece have been recorded in history, but little is known to the world.

In the Qing Dynasty, Zhu Yan compiled Poems of the Ming Dynasty (continued), once said that "those who read poems of the Ming Dynasty must know" and evaluated his poems as "quiet and elegant, free and easy with the charm of Wei", which included poems such as an outing in Baodi and a stroll in the firewood market.
