The scheme design and preliminary design of Chow Tai Fook Financial Center in Tianjin were completed by SOM architectural design firm in the United States, and East China Architectural Design and Research Institute was responsible for consulting. The seismic design of the tower is completed by SOM and East China Institute, and the construction drawing design is completed by East China Institute.
The expression form and design inspiration come from the geometric modeling in Art and Nature, which skillfully embodies the elements of the three functional spaces of the building by using undulating curves, and also shows a tall and eye-catching image in the skyline; The soft curved glass skin is wrapped with eight inclined columns, which are located behind the main bending parts on the facade.
It can improve the stiffness of the structure and meet the seismic requirements; Strategically setting vents at important positions on multiple floors, in line with the aerodynamic shape of the building, can reduce vortex divergence, and then minimize wind load.
The night lighting of Tianjin Chow Tai Fook Financial Center adopts the concept of "building a city with ingenuity". The curtain wall lighting of the tower is composed of more than 30,000 LEDs and program equipment embedded in about 1500 curtain wall units, which produce different lighting effects, such as dynamic mode, horizontal wave, vertical wave, flashing effect and countdown effect.
