But it is my friend since childhood and my second home. Now, I regard it as a treasure, because for some unknown reason, more and more antique shops are opening in this street. There are dozens, one after another. Some people even joked that this street should be renamed "Antique Street", but in my heart, it is a cultural street.
First of all, I like the decoration style in the store. Because it is an antique shop, it is bound to be decorated with antique and purple mahogany doors, hollowed out and carved with various patterns, glazed tiles, indigo bricks and pillars with tops. The most striking thing is the names of various plaques, such as "Jubaoge", "Jian Zhen Xuan" and "Yunzhen Garden". Some couplets are even more amazing: "Beijing, Tianjin and Qin Jin blend, jewelry and ceramics gather in the city", "Jade and things are easy to change, gold and silver are all over the world, and predecessors left behind three generations of hidden goods". Small streets are full of cultural flavor and historical charm.
Cultural Street is more attractive to those antique jade ceramic calligraphy and painting. I'm not an expert in antique appreciation. I know nothing about these items. Nevertheless, I still like them full of history and culture. Taking advantage of being a street neighbor, I often go to various shops to taste. Among them, there are porcelains and blue-and-white porcelains in the Tang and Song Dynasties, with fine workmanship; There were also guqin in Song Dynasty and Ming Dynasty. Although it is out of date, the plucked string can still be played. There is also a cigarette rod in the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China, which seems to be silently telling the humiliating historical past; There are all kinds of Chairman Mao's badges, plaster statues and portraits. Wandering among them, I imagine their stories: how many ladies-in-waiting temples have been combed by exquisite jade combs, how many histories have been infiltrated by polished Gu Yan, and how many sweats have been condensed by rusty copper coins ... My heart will follow the whirlpool of history and explore the aftertaste.
What I like best is the cultural atmosphere here. There is no competition among ordinary businessmen in each store, but there is plenty of communication and accommodation. They learn from each other and appreciate comments. Sometimes when a family receives a genuine product, the shopkeepers of the whole street will come to congratulate and appreciate it. Usually, many foreigners come to Taobao, most of them are Beijingers, and sometimes there are foreigners. They slowly searched the small streets with cameras and magnifying glasses, and bargained with the shops when they saw their favorite items. Finally, the baby is wrapped in three layers inside and outside, and carefully transported and loaded. I like watching the deal between them very much. I don't know why, maybe I just like the atmosphere here!
Every day, I live in such a cultural street. The massiness of history and the cohesion of culture always edify me, and the splendid civilization of ancient history shines here. I like it!
