For rutaceae shrubs or small trees, 2.5 ~ 8 meters high. Young branches, leaf axes, petioles and inflorescences are all yellow-brown villous. Pinnate leaves are opposite, with leaflets 5 ~ 1 1, oblong or ovoid, 5 ~14cm long and 2 ~ 6cm wide, with sparse hairs at the top and white fluffy hairs at the bottom with transparent glandular spots. Flowers unisexual, densely packed into terminal panicles. The fruit of osteophyte is purplish red with thick glandular points, and each fruit contains 1 seed. The flowering period is June-August, and the fruiting period is 9-65438+1October.
Evodia rutaecarpa fruit contains evodiamine, rutaecarpine, hydroxyevodiamine, limonolactone, synephrine, evodiamine and so on. Its taste is pungent, bitter, hot and slightly toxic. It has the effects of dispelling cold, relieving pain, reducing adverse reactions, stopping vomiting, strengthening yang and stopping diarrhea. Can be used for treating headache, colic, beriberi, dysmenorrhea, epigastric pain, vomiting, acid swallowing, aphtha, etc.
Experience selection:
① Treating athlete's foot pain, which makes people feel rheumatism, unbearable foot pain and tendon edema: Evodia rutaecarpa 10g, perilla leaf 10g, 7 areca nuts, 30g dried tangerine peel, 30g papaya, platycodon grandiflorum 15g (reed removed) and 650 ginger (and peel). Grinding the medicine, decocting in water, and taking it at five o'clock every day, 3-5 times each time.
② Treatment of toothache: a small amount of Evodia rutaecarpa is decocted with wine and gargled.
