Sanxingdui has made new discoveries. After nearly half a year of excavation, what cultural relics have been unearthed?
Sanxingdui's new round of live broadcast room will start, and the splendid and precious cultural relics in pits 7 and 8 will bring more surprises to fans. On the afternoon of June 1 1, CCTV reported the latest news of Sanxingdui archaeological excavation. After more than a year of excavation, authoritative experts in archaeology have basically determined that there is still a building relic with a total area of more than 80 square meters next to the archaeological greenhouse.

The previously excavated Qingguanshan building base is located in the north of Sanxingdui site, with a total construction area of more than 1000 square meters, which is a large-scale single building base found in Sanxingdui site so far.

The architectural remains found outside the archaeological greenhouse are rectangular, with a total internal structure area of nearly 86 square meters. At this stage, authoritative experts have basically understood the shape of this building, which is also a large and medium-sized building. In particular, similar buildings have been found around it, which is likely to form a complex.

There is a ditch across the ruins of a large and medium-sized building. When the authoritative experts in archaeology cleaned this ditch, they found the kneeling portraits of stone statues, Shi Hu, Shi Cong, Yu Zhang, and even the fragments of bronzes decorated with gold ornaments. Among them, the stone kneeling portrait has bangs on the head and thick ears, which has a very typical design style of Sanxingdui.

According to archaeologists, there are probably small and medium-sized sacrificial pits around this large and medium-sized building relic. Subsequent excavation work quickly confirmed their inference. According to Qiao Gang, an archaeologist in the sacrificial area of Sanxingdui site, so far, several similar small and medium-sized sacrificial pits have been found around the building site. Based on various factors, authoritative experts in archaeology concluded that this place should belong to the member area of ancient Shu people's sacrificial theme activities.

Ran Honglin, president of Sanxingdui Archaeological Research Institute, said that if this sacrificial area is confirmed, it will play a particularly key role in understanding all Sanxingdui sites, the ancient Shu capital and the whole process of its establishment, as well as the division of various functional divisions of the capital.
