Angel fish is a common ornamental fish, whose scientific name is angel fish, also known as little angel fish, swallow fish, little bearded fish and so on. In biological classification, it belongs to the general name of tropical fish in animal kingdom, chordates, teleost, perciformes, Callichthyidae and angelfish. It originated in the Amazon river basin and is now widely raised as an ornamental fish in aquariums or aquariums all over the world.
Morphological characteristics:
Angel fish has a rhomboid body, flat side, small and sharp head, thin kiss and mouth end position. Its dorsal fin and anal fin are big and high, like a spinnaker, much like the spread wings of an angel. Its body surface often has stripes or black spots, and its body color is black, gray, white and yellow. The common individual is 12 ~ 15cm, and the largest individual can reach it.

Angel fish originated in Pukalpa, Peru, South America, and distributed northward along the Kaiali River, passing through the Amazon River and reaching the Amazon Delta in eastern Brazil. As an ornamental fish, it has been widely introduced around the world and is known as the "queen of ornamental fish", but it is rare in the country of origin.
Living habits:
1. environment: angelfish is a representative species of tropical fish, with the optimum living water temperature of 26~32℃, hardness of 3~6, pH of 6.5 ~ 7.0 and territorial consciousness. It is best not to mix with small fish.
2. Feeding habits: angelfish are omnivorous fish, mainly feeding on plankton, aquatic insects and higher plant debris. Can be fed with red worms, Daphnia, compound pellet feed, etc.
3. Reproduction: angelfish sexually mature in10 ~1February, and the eggs are laid on the surface of rocks or branches, with the number of eggs ranging from 200 to 500. During the incubation period, the parent fish will take care of the eggs and oxygenate them with their mouths and pectoral fins.
Feeding mode:
1, water temperature: angelfish has strong adaptability and wide acceptable temperature range. It is reasonable to keep the water temperature between 22-27℃ during cultivation. Practice has proved that warm water is more beneficial to their immune system, while cold water can prolong their life.
2. Water quality: weak acidic water environment is better for them. When cultivating, just control the PH value of water body between 4.7 and 8.7 to ensure their survival needs. But the most ideal PH value range is between 6.5 and 6.9. Replace at least 20% of the water in the water tank every week to ensure the cleanliness of the water body.
3. Feeding: They are not picky about food, but they like to eat fresh things. Eating fresh things will give them a better appetite. Need to feed at least 2-3 times a day. When feeding, you can choose broken fish food and feed it with branchiopods and red blood worms.
Matters needing attention in angelfish culture:
Angel fish are timid, so the number of fish can be more, and the environment should be as quiet as possible.
