Brief Introduction of Liaoning Vocational College of Mechanical and Electrical Technology Liaoning Vocational College of Mechanical and Electrical Technology is located in Dandong, the most beautiful border city in China, across the Yalu River from Sinuiju, North Korea. The college was formerly a national key technical secondary school-Liaoning Instrumentation Industry School, which was founded in 1965. Approved by the provincial government in 2002, it was upgraded to a higher vocational college, which belongs to the Liaoning Provincial Department of Education. At present, it is the national key vocational education teacher training base, the national numerical control technology shortage talent training base, the national machinery industry backbone vocational college, the national machinery industry service advanced manufacturing advanced backbone vocational college, the national deepening innovation and entrepreneurship education reform demonstration college, the first batch of educational informatization pilot construction units of the Ministry of Education, the third batch of modern apprenticeship pilot units of the Ministry of Education, Liaoning vocational education reform and development demonstration school, and Liaoning vocational education high-level modern vocational college project construction school.
College is a higher vocational college with engineering as the main body, electromechanical and instrumentation features, and full-time academic education, vocational training, scientific research and technical services are equally developed. The campus covers an area of 572 mu, with a total construction area of 654.38+0.904 million square meters. There are two campuses, Langtou Campus and Instrument Garden. Langtou Campus is located in Lingang Industrial Park, Dandong City, and Instrument Park Campus is located in the instrument industry base of Dandong New District.
The college has 12 teaching units, including department of mechanical engineering, Materials Engineering Department, Automatic Control Engineering Department, Huafu Instrument Institute, Information Engineering Department, Northern Gold and Jewelry Institute, Huanghai Automobile Engineering Institute, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Institute, Basic Education Department, Ideological and Political Department, Sports Department and Quality Education Center for College Students. Actively promote the "trinity" professional construction mode of "one group, one park, one center, one major, multiple enterprises and one platform" and strengthen the construction of professional clusters. There are 9 professional groups and 40 majors including intelligent control technology, instrumentation technology, equipment manufacturing technology, material forming technology, internet technology, digital media technology, automobile engineering, jewelry processing and manufacturing services. Among them, "Electrical Automation Technology" is the national experimental specialty of teaching reform, "Mechatronics" is the national demonstration specialty of equipment manufacturing, "Detection Technology and Application" is the national characteristic specialty of machinery industry, "Mechatronics" and "Logistics Management" are the demonstration majors of the Ministry of Education to improve the professional service industry capacity, and/or KLOC-0/7 majors such as "Mechanical Manufacturing and Automation" and "Computer Network" are provincial demonstration (brands).
