Hutongs in Beijing originated in the Yuan Dynasty.
In the Yuan Dynasty, the hutongs in Beijing were widely spaced, and most of them were basically the distance between three entrances and one courtyard. Therefore, future generations will rely on a small alley as an entrance and exit in the middle of building an open space. In this way, a large number of unknown small hutongs have emerged in many famous big hutongs, so as the saying goes: "The famous hutongs are 3,600, and the unknown hutongs are a dime a dozen."
The hutongs in Beijing are not concentrated and generally closed to traffic, so it is very tiring to stroll around. Here nine levels introduce two factors:
1, Qianshi Hutong-the narrowest hutong in Beijing. Jewelry is located outside Qianshi Street. In the past, this hutong was a bank, so they were called Qiancheng Hutong. The narrowest part of the alley is only 80 cm wide, so when they meet, they can only walk sideways. The alley is about thirty or forty meters.
2. Link Street-the shortest alley. Around this Liulichang, it is only more than 20 meters long.
Hutong is one of the symbols of Beijing culture. If you travel to Beijing, you must visit Hutong.
Thanks, uh, adoption.
