We all want to know how that vibrant jade was carved. What is the current market price of gemstones? Why are there so many differences in the prices of carvings carved from the same jade material? What is the difference between the crystal quality of low-grade gems and the current regional price? With these questions, we participated in this cognitive practice.
This internship was led by Li Liping and Wang Yamei, and more than 30 students participated in it. From 7th to 12, I visited Yangmei Jade Wholesale Market in Jieyang City, Guangdong Province, Tangke Jewelry Wholesale Market in Haifeng County, Shanwei, Liwan Gem Wholesale Center in Guangzhou, and Jade Street in Pingzhou, respectively, and learned about gem processing and production, various knowledge related to this major, and so on. First-hand experience of knowledge and practical application. This internship really benefited us a lot in our future study and job search. In a short week, let's return to the perceptual re-understanding, let us have a preliminary understanding of this society, and it is also enlightening for the direction we should grasp in the future!
I. Internship Market
The first stop is Jieyang Yangmeiyu Market, which is known as the Jade Capital of China.
Jieyang Jade Wholesale Market is the first stop of our internship. It is known as "Jade Capital of Asia" and "Jade Capital of China". Yangmei Village, located on the edge of Jieyang City in eastern Guangdong, is a relatively small village, more than 400 kilometers away from Guangzhou, Pingzhou and Sihui. But most of them specialize in high-grade and top-grade jade, but there are also a few B goods, and the finished products and blanks are basically the same, which also attracts many buyers. It is very common for local people to bid indiscriminately. Usually, goods with a value of only 10,000 to 20,000 yuan are priced at hundreds of thousands, and those with a value of over one million are extremely common, and speculation is also quite common. Yangmei Village is a professional jade village. Almost every household in the village deals in jade articles. The whole market is huge, with complete supporting facilities and rich product styles. It is currently the largest and highest-grade jade processing base and trading market in Asia.
The second stop is Tangke Jewelry Wholesale Market in Haifeng County, the largest crystal jewelry wholesale market in Guangdong.
Recently, Tangke was established in Guangdong. Tangke jewelry trading market is an industrial park with crystal processing trade as the leader and various semi-precious stones as one, and is known as the "Little Golden Triangle". It is understood that there are more than 65,438+0,000 jewelry factories in Tangke Town, Haifeng County, which is an industrial center focusing on jewelry processing. The annual processing capacity of various semi-precious stones exceeds 50,000 tons, accounting for 70% of the world's total processing. Our products sell well in Hongkong, Taiwan Province, Europe, America, Southeast Asia and China, and have become the largest crystal jewelry processing base in the world.
Third stop: Liwan Square, Guangzhou
Guangzhou Hualin International Airport:
Hualin International is located in Kang Wang Road, adjacent to Hualin Jade Street and Shangxiajiu Commercial Pedestrian Street. This is a world-class professional jewelry market for precious jade and gold. The first floor is mainly made of jade, and the second floor is operated by the Liwan Joint Committee of Guangzhou Taiwan Association, with semi-precious stones and medium and high-grade products as the main products.
Guangzhou Hualin Jade Street:
Hualin Jade Street is located in Xiajiu Road, Guangzhou, including Zheng Xilai Street, Hualin New Street, Hualin Front Street, Maolin Straight Street and Xinsheng Street. More than 80% of the jade merchants in Guangzhou have gathered, accounting for more than 90% of the total jade transactions in Guangzhou. At the bottom of the houses on both sides of the street are jade shops, which are filled with jade articles such as Hong Fei, Emerald, Purple Yellow, White Ash and Daiqing, which are beautiful.
Jade wares sold in Jade Street range from 10 yuan to tens of yuan, from 100 yuan to several hundred yuan, several thousand yuan or even ten thousand yuan, including jade rings, jade bracelets, jade pendants and ornaments. Vendors here are mainly engaged in wholesale and retail business, and are often bought by big buyers at home and abroad for hundreds of dollars.
At present, about 80% merchants in Hualin Jade Street sell their own jade products. They mainly went to Yunnan to purchase jade velvet and shipped it back to Guangzhou for processing. Many merchants have processing plants in the suburbs of Guangzhou or four nearby towns and villages, which process jade wool into jade articles and then sell them in Jade Street. Because the processing and sales of jade articles are one-stop, reducing the circulation links, the jade articles in Hualin Jade Street are generally about 50% cheaper than those in other places. Therefore, it attracts thousands of domestic and foreign merchants to Taobao.
In the center of Hualin Jade Street, there is a Hualin Jade Building (namely Hualin Jewelry and Jade Shopping Mall), which is crowded all day. It is the largest indoor jade market and the trading center of Jade Street. The biggest feature of Hualin Yulou is a complete range of business: interfaces, ear buckles, jade pendants, bracelets, apricot hearts, flower pieces and flower cards; There are both ancient jade and ancient jade, as well as the more fashionable zodiac jade in recent years; There are not only exquisite seating ornaments made by sculptors, but also jade processing tools. There are both A-goods jades that can be preserved, B-goods jades and C-goods jades with reasonable prices; They even sell jade wool. Hualin Emerald Building has a very good business because of its complete variety.
The fourth stop is Pingzhou Jade Street.
Pingzhou Jade Street is located in Pingdong Village, Pingzhou, Nanhai, about15km away from Guangzhou Jade Street. The transportation is very convenient and the geographical position is superior. Moreover, there are boats going to and from Hong Kong every day, which not only has the convenience of Guangzhou, but also has the land advantage of Sihui. It has the best geographical position among the four major markets. Pingzhou mainly deals in jade bracelets, followed by rough stones and scraps. Like Guangzhou, there are high, middle and low grades here, and the price is the cheapest among the four major markets. Pingzhou is not only a distribution center for bare goods, but also a distribution center for rough stones. In addition, because of its good geographical location, foreigners will not be restricted. Many foreigners do business here with Hong Kong and Macao, and Burmese businessmen also bring rough stones here to invest. Almost once or twice a month (four or five times in many cases). You need a membership card to enter to throw stones at the goods. Every time, thousands of people are present to watch the stone tablet. The scene is spectacular, and the transaction amount of each piece of jade is several thousand yuan, but it is a lot. Pingzhou is also the largest jade naked processing base in China, with local processed goods and many imported materials.
Second, the internship sentiment
This internship time is not too long. Although my professional knowledge has not been fully utilized, I still have a lot of insights. I proved my worth. At least I know that if I go out to work now, I need more market experience. The rest of the time, I can only do better, learn more, weigh more and find a better job.
The internship is over, and it's time for me to start a new life. In college life, I still need to do many things, such as continuing to learn English, studying specialized courses in depth, and continuing to pay attention to the industry. Whether I am a professional manager or start my own business in the future, the accumulation in the university must be a fortune in my life!
