Li Runzhi
Li Xianzhi was a great hero in the Qing Dynasty. In order to praise his rehabilitation, the emperor of the dynasty not only gave him a lot of land, gold and silver jewelry as a reward, but also awarded the official position of "Tusi" to be passed down from generation to generation. As usual, money, land and official positions are enough for future generations to enjoy happiness, but the Li family has only been passed down to six generations, and Li Runzhi, the sixth generation descendant of the Li family, has made the Li family's glory and reputation infamous.
Li Runzhi inherited the "Tusi" status of his ancestors, and in his generation, he became a squire. Although his identity has changed, the property and glory belonging to the Li family have never diminished. Li Runzhi has accumulated a lot of wealth by virtue of the inheritance of his ancestors. Until now, there are still many people who care about his wealth.
Longxi shizu manor
The house where Li Runzhi once lived is in Ailao Mountain. To say which house on the mountain is the most luxurious, local people will invariably talk about Li Runzhi's mansion, which was completed in 1943 and has a resounding name, called Longxi Sai-jo Manor.
It not only covers a wide area, but also has a magnificent design. The overall layout adopted the most luxurious and popular settings at that time. It can be said that this product, which was built only in the last century, is as good as today's villa. But the most attractive thing about this clan manor in Longxi is Li Runzhi's hidden wealth here.
The "dark tunnel" in the manor
According to legend, Li Runzhi hid 300 boxes of gold bars in this manor 68 years ago! This statement is not groundless. Before liberation, Li Runzhi not only established weaving factories, gun repair shops and many other factories by virtue of his ancestral business, but also colluded with businessmen to monopolize the local tobacco and salt trade, making Li Runzhi the most powerful, richest and largest "landlord" in Ailaoshan area in just a few years! At that time, all local officials had to give gifts to Li Runzhi before they could take office, which made Li Runzhi more and more complacent and domineering.
1947, when China's liberation war was winning one victory after another, the sensitive Li Runzhi realized that this red revolution was directed at himself, and his rights, status and wealth would vanish in this revolution. So Li Runzhi instigated bandits to attack the county town, wantonly killing 100 party and government cadres, creating a series of bandit riots and killing 100 revolutionary fighters and people!
Li Runzhi and his partner were shot!
But justice may be late, but it will never be absent. As the leader of the "high embankment tragedy", Li Runzhi was finally shot by public trial at the mass meeting in March 1952!
After Li Runzhi's death, his gold bars disappeared, but many local old people said that Li Runzhi's 300 boxes of gold bars were in the clan manor in Longxi, because there were four stone slabs engraved with four unique patterns, which seemed a bit out of place in the manor. Therefore, some people say that these patterns are "treasure maps" for storing these 300 boxes of gold bars. As long as the pattern is cracked, gold bars may be found.
Mysterious patterns in the manor
Up to now, many tourists still visit Longxi Manor, but for so many years, no one can decipher these patterns, and no one has found 300 boxes of gold bars in the manor. Perhaps only time can unlock the secrets hidden in the manor!
