Ice and snow hotel design
Workers from all walks of life in the Ice Hotel participate in the annual hotel construction, which is an important guarantee for the unique style of the Swedish Ice Hotel. Every June165438+1October, when the construction project starts, invited artists come to Jukkasjarvi town from all over the world. These artists are rarely successful veterans. Most of them are unknown students, industrial designers, sculptors, painters, jewelry designers, fabric designers, cartoonists, NASA spacecraft designers, etc. Some of them are even completely unrelated.

In his works in 2009, Swedish local artists are still the focus, and artists from Britain, Germany, the United States, Chile, Lithuania and other countries have also joined in. Among Asian faces, Hiroyoshi Sakai, a woodcarving artist from Japan, highlights the artistic conception of leaving the earth for the depths of the universe with his gorgeous starry sky and fantastic works of the moon, which is similar to "taking me to the moon". Another work, Dairy Queen, also comes from a pair of works by Japanese artists Natsuki Munakata and Shingo Saito. With the arrival of summer, the Icehotel project in 2009 no longer exists, but in the hot summer, you can get a lot of coolness from those preserved photos. In the design of 30 suites, designers from various fields still brought quite rich performances. For example, BerntWesterlund and TJ Sa Gusfoss, a local Swedish artist group, designed a luxurious design with the theme of the moon surface, called "Take me to the moon". The whole room was covered with stars, and a full moon model designed by a woodcarver hung on the bed. Sleeping on the velvet bed was like being under the vast starry sky, which seemed to echo the 40th anniversary of human landing on the moon. There are also works by a combination of architects and sculptors from Bulgaria, a suite with the theme of mushrooms. The bedside and roof are clusters of mushrooms made of snow sculpture. The image is vivid, and every grain can be seen clearly. The guests feel like they are in a mushroom kingdom. According to designers ViktorTsarski and Liliya Pobornikova, this is to let people return to the forest in fairy tales, which is also in line with the atmosphere of the Nordic fairy tale world. In fact, the theme of nature is the basic reserved project in the design over the years, and "Dream Tree" and "Memory of Eden" are the embodiment of this theme.

In addition to the annual theme change of the suite, the styles of the reception desk, lobby, bar, church and showroom of the Icehotel are revisited every year. Our church was built with reference to the architectural style of Lapland in northern Europe and adopted many ecological intentions, so it was named "Northern Church". Entering the entrance of the church, the spacious roof structure immediately gives people a sense of sacredness, and the spreading branches and leaves naturally remind people of the Nordic jungle and even reindeer antlers. The shadows of branches and vines are projected on the walls and ground of the church, making the space more quiet and deep. The seats in the church are also covered with air cushions and reindeer skins. The design team of the church is from Holland. Among the five members, two are stylists in commercial photography and media photography, one is an actor, one is a freelance designer working for TV stations and theaters, and the other is a shipyard and a concept artist.
