What does the T 1 terminal look like?

The T 1 Terminal has a total construction area of 390,000 square meters, and the feather-like ceiling of nearly 30,000 square meters echoes the overall shape of Chengdu Tianfu International Airport, with a unique and vivid image.
Different from the current Shuangliu International Airport, the T 1 terminal building of Tianfu International Airport has four floors above ground, four upper mezzanines in some areas, and an underground 1 floor, and the B2 floor is an APM rapid transit system project in some areas. According to the inbound and outbound passenger flow patterns, the four floors above ground of T 1 Terminal are baggage sorting floor, arrival floor, waiting floor and departure floor in turn. In addition, it is worth mentioning that there is a high-speed rail with a top speed of 350 kilometers per hour under the terminal building.
Is it convenient to catch a plane at the new airport?
Take the subway 18 line to Tianfu Airport Terminal 2 1, get out of the subway station and take the escalator to the upper floor, then take the elevator to the upper floor, and then take the escalator to the 1 terminal to reach the floor. If you are an outbound passenger, you can take the elevator to the departure floor to check in. The whole process only takes about 3 minutes.
There is also a high-speed rail under the subway station. At the same time, the new airport also has the first PRT system in Asia and the second in the world. Passengers who arrive at the airport by bus can park their cars near the terminal and then arrive at the terminal by driverless car. There is also a parking building between the two terminals, and passengers can also park their cars in the parking building.
There is a GTC between the two terminals of Chengdu Tianfu International Airport. In addition to the subway, high-speed rail, feeder railway, taxi, private car, long-distance bus and other modes of transportation are highly compounded and vertically superimposed to realize zero-distance traffic transfer for passengers, making travel more convenient and efficient.
How will the terminal be different?
T 1 and T2 terminals will build six courtyard landscapes, which are referred to as "Twelve Scenes of the Airport" for short. The shape, design and layout of each courtyard landscape will be different and have their own characteristics. This is also a major humanistic feature created by Chengdu's regional conditions.
12 courtyard views are located in the middle and end of the terminal building. Inspired by many scenic spots in Sichuan, such as Qingcheng Mountain, Jinsha Site, Jiuzhaigou and Bamboo Sea in southern Sichuan, they use abstract landscape design to show Sichuan's unique regional culture. This can not only eliminate the boredom of passengers waiting for the plane, but also understand the cultural characteristics of Sichuan in one step.
Is it too far to walk to the boarding gate?
In China, Chengdu Tianfu International Airport is the only large international hub airport with two terminals at the same time. Some passengers may ask: the new airport is so big, will the boarding distance be longer?

Which flights go to the new airport?

By then, Chengdu will become the third city in Chinese mainland with two hub airports after Shanghai and Beijing.
According to the plan, after Chengdu Tianfu International Airport is completed and put into use, all international flights will be gradually transferred to the new airport. China International Airlines, Sichuan Airlines and Chengdu Airlines will launch two services. Some commercial routes of China Eastern Airlines will remain at Shuangliu International Airport, all routes of Tibet Airlines will remain at Shuangliu International Airport, and all flights of other airlines will be transferred to the new airport. According to the preliminary transition plan, Chengdu Tianfu International Airport will gradually complete the transition within two years.
Tianfu Airport Duty Free Shop is located on the departure floor of the 4th floor of Terminal T/KLOC-0 of Tianfu International Airport. Shuangliu Airport Duty Free Shop has two issues.

Last month, the Jinjiang District Bureau of Commerce officially announced that the first duty-free shop in Chengdu will land in Jinjiang District on 202 1.
