Originally Ding Yuan's adopted son, Lu Bu was brave. Dong Zhuo wanted to get rid of Ding Yuan, but he was afraid of Lu Bu, so he sent Su Li to surrender with red hare, gold and jewels. Seeing that he had forgotten his righteousness, Lu Bu took a knife to Ding Yuan's account overnight, killed him, cut off his head, voted for Dong Zhuo, and worshipped Dong Zhuo as his adoptive father. Dong Zhuo gave him gold and named him the capital of Hou Ting.

The Romance of the Three Kingdoms depicts nearly 200 characters, all of whom are artistic models. Zhuge Liang is the incarnation of a "saint". His noble qualities and ingenious skills of dying are close to the gods other than saints. Guan Yu is brave and resolute, and his righteousness is as heavy as a mountain. He was regarded as a god by later generations, that is, the so-called Master Wu Shengguan.
Two politicians in the book were masked. One is Liu Bei, who has been molded into a kind person, a virtuous corporal, and a typical benevolent gentleman who knows people well and does their duty well. Cao Cao, a great politician, strategist and writer, was portrayed as a traitor, careerist and schemer who "would rather teach me to be negative to the world than to teach the world to be negative to me".
The first 33 chapters of Romance of the Three Kingdoms, covering 24 years from Taoyuan to Cao Cao's unification of the north, are very wonderful. From Liu Bei's three visits to the thatched cottage to Zhuge Liang's death in Wuzhangyuan for 27 years, it is also well written. In the next 46 years, it only took 15 to end the half, and the writing was not so wonderful. Take Xishu as an example, from six visits to Qishan to nine visits to the Central Plains, it is better to write once.
The reason is not that China novelists don't understand the truth that "the climax will come to an abrupt end as soon as it is over", but that these stories, such as The Journey to the West, Romance of the Three Kingdoms and Water Margin, originally came from the ballads of storytellers in the Yuan and Ming Dynasties. Luo Guanzhong, Shi Naian and other authors connected these wonderful paragraphs in series, connecting them from beginning to end, and running through them for the second time, telling the story completely without losing the general history.
