Taiwan jade is metamorphic from "ultramafic ultrabasic magma", often accompanied by metamorphic rock "serpentine" in the eastern part of Taiwan Province Province, which appears in the contact zone between serpentine and graphite sericite quartz schist, representing the special geological environment of orogenic belt and plate extrusion metamorphism in Taiwan Province Province. Cat's eye nephrite: Cat's eye jade was successfully polished for the first time on 1953. This kind of jadeite has glass luster and long fiber shape. Each fiber is at least 2 cm under a polarizing microscope, and even 100 cm long fibers can be seen in the field. Its hardness is as high as 7. 1, which is higher than ordinary jadeite, completely breaking the myth that jadeite is equal to nephrite. The so-called "cat's eye stone" means that after the cat's eye jade ore is polished, there will be a slender light like a cat's eye in the middle. The opal, which most people are familiar with, is essentially a gold and silver gem, and is essentially a jade cat's eye jade. Only Taiwan Province Province produces it in the world.
Waxy nephrite: Waxy luster, usually opaque, sometimes slightly transparent, like sheep fat. Waxy because the jadeite is very fine, generally below 15 micron. When light enters the fine waxy jade, it will diffuse. Waxerite jade in Taiwan Province Province is rarely pure white, generally light gray-blue to medium gray-blue, and the output is not much.
