Emerald has too many imitators. I have shared more than ten kinds with Lao Wang! I believe that Cui friends can also roughly distinguish several common jadeite fakes. However, as the saying goes, "one mountain is high and one mountain is low", there are really a few pieces of jade, and the name is malicious.

1, I've heard of "ink painting" (ink painting jade), but have you ever heard of "stain of foam"? Come and see what it looks like!

"Moji", also known as "Mozi Stone", is also produced in Myanmar and is common on the border of Yunnan. It is a gray-green ore with poor water head. Because of the dark color, the "foam dye" is usually made into a thin piece of jewelry to increase the light transmission.

From the fact that "foam stains" are called "Mozi stone" by the jewelry industry, we can see that most of the "foam stains" are not up to the level of jade, and of course they cannot be called "jade". However, there are a few high-quality varieties in Mozi Stone with good water head, which can be called "jade" or "sodium chrome pyroxene jade".

High-quality "foam dye" has good water head. When made into a thin torus ear piece, the color is green and rich, which is called a "wide piece". Of course, most of the "foam stains" are very dry and the value is very low.

2. tumbler

Tumbler jade is not jade. Tumbler is a transliteration of Burmese. This green jade is produced in a place called "Grape" in the northeast of Pagan, northern Myanmar. Burmese transliteration is similar to "tumbler", so it is called "tumbler".

The green color of the tumbler is banded and patchy, with good transparency in general and poor transparency in a few cases. The main mineral is hydrogrossular, followed by zoisite, Fushan stone and hornblende. It turns deep purple under the color filter, which is actually garnet.

Recently, there are yellow hydrogrossular aggregates from Myanmar on the market, which also look like yellow jadeite. Hydrogrossular has a stronger luster than jadeite because of its higher refractive index.

3. Kunji

"Kunji" is also a Chinese transliteration name of Burmese, which is transparent to translucent, gray-blue or blue-gray, and is banded and banded.

This kind of ore looks like water stone, mostly gray-green, with good head. After cutting, it is blue striped and contains more impurities. "Kun Ji" is called "nephrite" by some scholars, and its market value is far lower than that of jadeite.

How about reading these three kinds of jade with strange names but similar looks? Don't be cheated next time! Speaking of which, Lao Wang, I am going to start a rumor about the jade industry!

I don't know if Cui's friend heard the merchant say such a sentence when he became attached to jade: "A bracelet with green dots will eventually become a green bracelet after being worn for decades." Is this sentence credible?

This is obviously impossible, just a means of promotion for merchants. After playing and wearing the jade bracelet for a long time, the color will spread to a certain extent, but it will certainly not change from "floating flowers" to "all green" as the merchants say.

Why else would this jade bracelet merchant sell it? Wear more yourself, even if you can't wear green, as long as the value of green increases, it will rise! Isn't it much higher to sell at this time?

So, Cui You, don't be fooled by this naive idea! The road to becoming attached to jade is long. Cui You can only become a senior player by learning more knowledge! Come and learn more from Lao Wang ~

Lao Wang talks about Cui Lao Wang, the founder of Yunnan Ai Cui Jewelry, who has been obsessed with jade all his life.
