If people do not effectively control their desires, all labor income will be swallowed up by this bottomless valley of desires. Even the richest man in the world, such as me, will disperse all my wealth if I restrain my desires from time to time; What's more, if you don't control your desires effectively in advance, you won't have much wealth at all. People's desires will never be fully satisfied. "
Then Akkad told people a story to satisfy their desires: once upon a time, a farmer saved an angel with badly injured wings on the edge of a cliff while cutting firewood up the mountain. After the angel's wings healed, she told the farmer that she was an angel sent by God. Because the kind farmer saved herself, she can satisfy any three wishes. The farmer was overjoyed and told his wife the good news when he got home. The wife is a clever woman. She asked the farmer to tell the angel that they needed a room full of gold, silver and jewels. When they saw a room full of jewels, they were so surprised that they couldn't even close their mouths. But they were still not satisfied, so the farmer and his wife went to the angel again and told him that they still wanted endless fertile land. Angels also granted their wishes, telling them that they could only grant one wish. The farmer and his wife were lying on their fertile land, thinking about how to make full use of this last wish, and finally the shrewd wife had a good idea. When the farmer saw the angel again, he expressed his third wish to the angel according to what his wife taught him: "We hope to have everything we want in the future." When he finished this sentence, he suddenly saw that all the gold, silver and jewels at home were gone, and the fertile land turned back to the original barren hills. "Why is this happening?" The farmer and his wife asked the angel angrily, and the angel told them: "Man's desire will expand itself aimlessly, and when it expands to the extreme, it will destroy man's heart." You don't control your desires at all. You want to satisfy all your desires. This will only make you crazier until you are finally destroyed by desire. For the farmer's sake, I must save you before you are destroyed by desire. "
Akkad concluded after telling this story: "People's desires are like weeds in farmland. If they are not cleared and treated in time, they will spread wildly and eventually destroy the whole farmland. Therefore, we should subconsciously control some unreasonable desires at any time, such as not letting ourselves be lazy, controlling diet and saving money. When your desires are reasonably controlled, you will accumulate more wealth. " Finally Akkad said: "Remember, under the premise of the same income, people who can effectively restrain their desires are more likely to become rich than those who let their desires expand."
It's hard to fill "desire". Don't let those unreasonable desires devour your hard-earned pockets, and don't let the infinitely expanding desires crowd out all your wisdom.
