The history of the School of Physics and Electronic Information Engineering of Wenzhou University can be traced back to 1977, when the Department of Physics was founded by Wenzhou Normal University. At present, the college has three master's programs in condensed matter physics, theoretical physics and computer application technology (first-class discipline), and eight undergraduate majors in physics, electronic information science and technology, electronic information engineering, communication engineering, electrical engineering and automation, computer science and technology, network engineering, information management and information system. As a national characteristic construction major, physics major focuses on cultivating excellent middle school physics teachers, combining the study of basic knowledge with the expansion of cutting-edge knowledge, and emphasizing openness and innovation. Electronic information science and technology specialty is listed as the provincial key construction specialty, and network engineering specialty is listed as the school key construction specialty. Students have achieved good results many times in the competitions of challenge cup, electronic design, e-commerce, programming, multimedia and other related disciplines, and the passing rate of student professional engineer certification has increased year by year. At present, the college teachers undertake more than 60 provincial and ministerial projects such as key projects of the National Natural Science Foundation and sub-projects of the National 973 Plan. In recent years, college teachers have published more than 600 papers in academic journals at home and abroad, of which more than 300 papers have been included by international authoritative retrieval institutions SCI, EI and ISTP. There are 22 excellent courses (groups) at all levels (3 at the provincial level), more than 40 educational reform projects at all levels (3 at the provincial level) and 6 key teaching materials construction projects in provincial universities.
