It is listed in the US FDA catalogue and protected by the European PDO.
Natural astaxanthin
Extracted from Haematococcus pluvialis, the best organism recognized in nature to produce natural astaxanthin, it is a natural antioxidant, and its antioxidant capacity is E500 times that of vitamin E, E550 times that of vitamin E and 10 times that of β-carotene. Studies have shown that astaxanthin can penetrate the blood-brain barrier and cell membrane because of its special molecular structure, which can effectively prevent retinal oxidation and photoreceptor cell damage, especially macular degeneration.
