Coptera, commonly known as dermatophytes and dermatophytes, belongs to COLEOPTERA and Coptera. Adults gnaw at leaves, resulting in nicks, and larvae gnaw at the cortex of branches, resulting in glue flow. When the damage is serious, the bark bursts, hence the name "skin breaker", and even the whole plant dies. The size and shape of adults vary from less than 1 cm to more than 8 cm, with smaller heads and shorter antennae and feet. Larvae is long, flat and milky white. Most of them feed on trees, and some sneak into leaves. In severe cases, it can make the bark burst, hence the name "skin breaker". Chalcophora japonica is an extremely beautiful beetle, which generally has various colors of metallic luster, mostly gorgeous and abnormal, just like a charming lady, also known as "rainbow eyes". Beetles with metallic colors are considered as living jewels of women or men.
Prevention and control methods:
(1) Artificial control: In the early stage of adult emergence, timely pruning insect branches and dead branches and centralized burning to eliminate overwintering larvae. In winter and spring, the old skin at the wound can be scraped off, and then the larvae under the cortex can be dug up with a knife.
(2) Chemical control: At the peak of adult emergence, 5% imidacloprid EC or 750 ~ 800% quinalphos EC can be sprayed. During the larval damage period, 80% dichlorvos EC or 40% omethoate EC can be sprayed on the damaged parts for 20 ~ 30 times.
