The first piece: Simu Wuding

The Muswuding, also known as the stepmother Wu Da Fang Ding and Wu Fangding, is a priceless bronze relic of Shang Dynasty, and its function is mainly used for offering sacrifices.

Simu Wuding was unearthed in 1939 and has been in the National Museum since 1959. This giant weighs 832.84 kilograms and its ears are 133 cm high.

According to research, the stepmother Wu Ding was cast by Fan Taofa. Wu Ding, the stepmother, needed at least 1 000 kg of raw materials after casting in the late Shang Dynasty, and it had to be completed with the close cooperation of about 200 to 300 craftsmen. The production level was top-notch at that time, which almost represented the peak technology of the whole Shang and Zhou Dynasties.

Simu Wuding is the largest and heaviest bronze ritual vessel unearthed in the world so far, enjoying the reputation of "the treasure of the town and the country". Now it is a national first-class cultural relic, and it was listed in the List of Cultural Relics Prohibited from Going Abroad in 2002.

The second piece: filial piety queen phoenix crown

Guan Feng, the filial piety queen, is an extremely luxurious cultural relic, which is full of jewels from top to bottom. It has four phoenixes in Kowloon, a green cover and drooping beads, and it is covered with all kinds of precious stones, jadeites and pearls. The craft is also extremely complicated, and the cruel kingfisher fingering technology is used on it, with two jewelry tassels on the left and right.

The back of the crown is decorated with six "Bo Dian" made of pearls and precious stones, which are separated from each other in a fan shape. This crown is listed as the first batch of cultural relics prohibited from going abroad!

The phoenix crown of Filial Piety Queen is the phoenix crown of Filial Piety Queen (the beloved princess of Wanli Emperor) in Ming Shenzong in Ming Dynasty, which was excavated by the archaeological team near the Ming Tombs at 1956. At that time, all the team members were shocked when cleaning up this cultural relic, and they immediately reported to their superiors.

The third piece: painted storks, stone axes and pottery pots (rare painting treasures)

You may have seen similar cultural relics in various museums in China. This is a pottery style of an era, and the most valuable one is now collected in the National Museum.

Colored storks, stone axes and pottery pots are the cultural relics of Yangshao culture in Neolithic age, and their main function is to be buried with them. 1978 was excavated near Ruzhou, Henan Province.

Its cultural relic is red pottery sand, with a height of 47 cm, a diameter of 32.7 cm and a base diameter of 19.5 cm. On one side of the outer wall of the abdomen is a famous picture of storks and stone axes. Some scholars believe that this is the earliest painting in China, the ancestor of Chinese painting now, and the most primitive prototype of Chinese painting.

It is also the largest prehistoric painting in China, and its value is immeasurable. This is the earliest and largest pottery painting ever discovered in China.

In 2003, painted snakehead, stone axe and clay pot were identified by the State Council as the first batch of 64 precious cultural relics that could not be exhibited abroad.
