1, Emerald Cabbage is made of a piece of jade that is half white and half green, with the green part carved into leaves and the white part carved into side dishes. Using the natural color of jade material, a nearly authentic Chinese cabbage is carved.

2. One of the treasures of the Imperial Palace in Taipei: Emerald Cabbage. It is said that this jade cabbage was the dowry of Emperor Guangxu when he married into the palace.

Jade cabbage is the dowry of Jin Fei, Emperor Guangxu of Qing Dynasty. Cabbage means innocence and symbolizes the purity of the bride. The leaves are also engraved with katydids (commonly known as weavers) and locusts, meaning that children and grandchildren are full.
