Speaking of the story of Jiang Caiping, I have to tell you several other famous figures in the history of the Tang Dynasty. One is Li Longji of Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty.
Li Longji was born in Luoyang, the capital of God, in 685 AD. His reign was from 712 to 756. Li Dan, the third son of Tang Ruizong, the longest-serving emperor in the Tang Dynasty, was named Xuanzong, also known as Tang Huangming, because posthumous title was "filial piety".
At the beginning of Li Longji's accession to the throne, he appointed Yao Chong, Song Jing and other sages and worked hard to create a "prosperous new century" in the history of the Tang Dynasty. He can be a wise monarch. After creating a prosperous time, Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty gradually began to be satisfied and indulged in pleasure.
Li Longji is versatile, knowledgeable, good at calligraphy and handsome. She is the only male god in women's minds.
Because of this congenital condition, it is difficult for Li Longji to be a romantic son. The story of him and Yang Guifei fascinated the world. In fact, before Yang Yuhuan, Li Longji loved two women. The first one is Wu Huifei.
Wu Huifei, the granddaughter of Wu Zetian, was sheltered by Wu Zetian because of her father's early death and grew up in the palace. After Emperor Xuanzong ascended the throne, Wu Shi was in favor. In the twelfth year of Kaiyuan, after Xuanzong abolished the king, he made Wu his concubine. Because the whole court was extremely disgusted with the Wu family, Wu has never been sealed. Although there is no queen's identity, he enjoys the treatment of the queen in the palace.
Wu Huifei is as calculating as her aunt Wu Zetian. Before being favored, Emperor Xuanzong of Tang Dynasty favored Zhao, Huang and Liu Cairen successively, and gave birth to Prince Li Ying, King Ewang and Cong respectively. After Wu Huifei was in favor, three concubines fell out of favor one after another. So Li Ying, liyao and Li Cong often complain that their mothers are not loved. Wu Huifei slandered many times in front of Xuanzong, and Li Longji inexplicably banished Prince Li Ying, King Li Yao of Hubei and King Li Cong of Wang Guang to Shu Ren, killed them and renamed them Prince Li Cong and his third son Zhong Jun.
After framing three queens, Wu Huifei saw their ghosts many times, so he was afraid of getting sick and couldn't afford a serious illness. It is useless to ask wizards to do things at night, rebury them, or even bury the executed people together. Finally, Hui Fei passed away at the age of 38.
Wu Huifei died of illness, and Xuanzong was restless day and night. Although there are many beautiful women in the harem, none of them can satisfy him.
After Wu Huifei's death, in order to get rid of Li Longji's lovesickness, eunuch Gao Lishi went from Huguang to Guangdong to hold a beauty contest for Xuanzong. When Gao Lishi arrived in Putian, Fujian Province, she found that there was a beautiful woman with outstanding talents and looks in the Jiang family in Putian, so she was heavily hired to bring her 16-year-old daughter back to Chang 'an.
The woman seduced by Gao Lishi is Jiang Caiping.
Jiang Caiping was born in a scholarly family. Her father, Jiang Zhongxun, was a scholar when he was young. Later, when he failed many exams, he became a doctor. Jiang Xun had this baby girl in his thirties, so he loved her very much. He named her after the poem Cai Ping, that is, Li Nan in The Book of Songs, to express his expectation for his daughter.
Cai Ping was very clever since she was a child, and her father taught her to read and recite poems since she was a child. At the age of nine, he was able to recite the Book of Songs and two poems by Nan Zhou, and recorded the story of Zhou Wenwang calling a queen in the Southern Dynasties. At the age of fourteen, she was good at poems and songs, and she was a talented woman, Xie Daowen. Mei Fei knows chess, piano, books and paintings like the back of his hand. When she is in her prime, she will grow into a beautiful woman with a slender waist. She doesn't like elegant, light and elegant clothes. She knows how to read and is very polite. She is a peerless beauty with both talents and looks.
Ping's early understanding
Gao Lishi found that Jiang Caiping likes plum blossoms. After returning to Luoyang, Lao Gao specially hosted a banquet in the depths of Meilin and invited Tang Xuanzong to visit here. Jiang Caiping of Meilin played plum blossom dance for Xuanzong of Tang Dynasty.
Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty regarded Mei Fei as a treasure and gave his luck to the imperial concubine. Her name was Mei Fei. He ordered people to plant all kinds of plum trees in his palace, and personally inscribed the balcony in the courtyard as "Meige" and the small pavilion among the flowers as "Meiting". Mei Fei's love for Mei made the emperor call her "Mei Jing", and she was spoiled for some time.
For nineteen years, Mei Fei has been the only darling of the harem. When she was in favor, she didn't take advantage of Emperor Taizong's love for herself to hurt other concubines and endanger the country and people, but showed great righteousness and understanding.
It is human nature to like the new and hate the old, let alone the boundless Tang Huangming. Li Longji, who gradually lost interest in Mei Fei, was told that Yang Yuhuan, the concubine of his son Li Mao, was beautiful and gorgeous, and regardless of etiquette and shame, she forced her daughter-in-law into the palace and listed her as the imperial concubine.
Tang Xuanzong, a romantic old man, was obedient to Yang Yuhuan, and he tried his best to please the new beauty. In order to cater to her love of clothes, more than 700 people specially waited on the imperial concubine to make clothes for her. In order to let her eat her favorite litchi, Xuanzong also ordered to open a thousand-mile tribute road from Lingnan to Chang 'an, the capital, so that litchi could be transported to Chang 'an in time by fast horses, because litchi would go bad within five days after picking.
After Yang Yuhuan entered the palace, Mei Fei's situation became very embarrassing. Because Yang Yuhuan was jealous, she prevented Li Longji from seeing all the women. Of course, the key prevention target is Li Lang's former pet Mei Fei.
After Yang Yuhuan entered the palace, everything in Jiang Caiping's life changed. She suddenly lost the favor of Xuanzong, was banished to the cold palace by Yang Yuhuan's design, and lived alone in Yangdong Palace. Yang Yuhuan is the bane of Jiang Caiping. She never imagined that this woman, who was supposed to be her daughter-in-law, was cornered step by step, leaving no trace of life.
Out of love, she wanted Gao Lishi to help her find someone who could write poems, so as to arouse the friendship between Xuanzong and her, but at that time, Gao Lishi was too busy to ask the Yang family for help. Mei Fei was very depressed and had to write by himself, hoping to make up with Xuanzong. However, when she dedicated Lou Dong Bin to Xuanzong, she got a string of pearls as a reward. Mei Fei was desperate, and she gave up Xuanzong completely. She wrote a poem and returned it to Xuanzong with pearls.
Since he married Yang Guifei, influenced by it, the extravagance of Tang Xuanzong has intensified. In order to please the emperor, ministers, nobles and imperial families voted for the imperial concubine in succession. As a result, all the people who made her happy were promoted to official positions, which stimulated more bureaucrats and nobles to curry favor with each other and compete for delicious food and precious jewelry.
Thanks to his cousin, Yang rose to the highest position and became the prime minister of the Tang Dynasty. Yang Guifei's sisters also benefited a lot. My sister's name is Mrs. Korea, my third sister's name is Mrs. Guo Guo, and my eighth sister's name is Mrs. Guo Qin. Other brothers were also rewarded and became senior officials of the court.
Under Yang's dictatorship, the whole Tang Dynasty began to be chaotic, which eventually led to the "Anshi Rebellion".
At dawn on June 13th, the first year of Germany, Xuanzong only took Yang Guifei's sister, prince, princess, grandchildren, Yang, Wei, Wei and Chen, their trusted eunuchs and imperial secretaries, and escaped from the door. Princesses, nobles and those who raised their grandchildren, including Mei Fei, who was trapped in a cold palace, abandoned it. On this day, all the officials didn't know that the emperor had escaped.
When Emperor Xuanzong returned to Beijing, he sent someone to look for Mei Fei and finally found her body in the East Palace well. In order to keep his innocence, Mei Fei threw himself into a well with white silk.
The news of Mei Fei's death spread to Putian, and the villagers deeply missed her and built Pukou Palace to commemorate her forever.
According to legend, Mei Fei's father is
Tang Xuanzong, who abandoned his relatives and friends, was very depressed. He realized that Mei Fei had been left out in the East Palace of Shang Yang for more than ten years. Later, it was reported that Mei Fei was rescued in the chaos. Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty immediately issued a letter to the whole country: anyone who knows the whereabouts of Mei Fei will report it immediately and be rewarded; Those who are escorted to Beijing will be rewarded by six officials and receive millions of dollars. After many twists and turns, Wang Guangping finally got the news of Mei Fei. Kuanwang sent someone to the palace to greet Mei Fei grandly. Xuanzong took Mei Fei and said, "I always alienate Mei Qing, and I can't stand it. Therefore, offering beads is not heartless; How can you leave me when it's time to recall the past? " So Mei Fei stayed in Xingqing Palace to relive his dream with Xuanzong.
At that time, there was a popular saying in Beijing: "Huayang has been blown away by the east wind, and the plum calyx can stay fragrant at night." In other words, after Yang Guifei became popular, she finally disappeared into the jade meteorite in Maweipo. Mei Fei, who was left out in the cold, once again got your favor in Xingqing Palace.
These may just be a good wish of people. Later generations commemorate this virtuous princess with both ability and political integrity and set up a shrine for her; After Mei Fei's death, he was regarded as "one of the Twelve Flowers, the God of Plum Blossoms".
