The quality of a piece of jade depends on its color. No matter what natural jade is, its color is natural and evenly distributed. For dyed jadeite, the color is gorgeous and looks unnatural.
2. Feel the touch
Emerald is dense, and different densities will have different feelings. For example, Hetian jade: Hetian jade is denser than ordinary jade and will be heavier. It feels cold and greasy.
Step 3 observe the light
If you observe jade in light and sunlight, you will find that the internal structure of jade is natural and orderly, and it looks very comfortable. The arrangement of artificial jade is not so beautiful, and there are obvious artificial traces, and some even have bubbles inside.
4. Listen and distinguish
Natural jade has a clear sound, an old saying goes, and its sound is melodious. It's no fun to knock fake jade. It is suggested to knock jade with jade, so that the sound will reflect the characteristics of jade itself.
5. Hardness detection
First, scrape with your nails. The hardness of your nails is about 2 to 2.5. If you scratch with your nails, it's probably not jade, and then you can scratch with a knife. The hardness of your knife is about 5. The hardness of most jade is above 5, so you can leave marks with a knife, and it is probably not jade either.
