1, look at the color. The color of true sapphire is pure blue, with uniform color and rich color, as blue as the sky after a storm. The color of fake aquamarine is stiff, uneven and natural, and it looks like floating on the surface of jade.

2, look at the luster. The real blue jade is bright and dazzling in natural light, and it has a crystal clear feeling. You can clearly see the internal structure and texture. The fake blue water jadeite has a dull luster and unclear internal structure, and some fake jadeites have small bubbles inside.

3. Look at the texture. The real blue water jadeite is delicate and moist, with dense internal structure and few flaws, and feels smooth and soft, while the fake blue water jadeite is rough in texture, with very loose internal structure and many flaws. At first, it feels dry and not smooth at all.

Step 4 weigh. The density of real blue water jadeite is relatively high, 3.33 ~ 3.34 grams per cubic centimeter, which is relatively heavy. When you weigh it with your hand, you feel down and it feels heavy. The fake blue water jade is lighter, but it feels light and weightless.
