Knowledge expansion:
Panyu Vocational and Technical College (formerly Panyu Institute of Technology, Panyu Vocational and Technical College) was established in 1993, and was officially approved by the Ministry of Education in September, 1997. It is also the first batch of public full-time ordinary higher vocational colleges in China and the first one in Guangzhou. From June 5438 to February 2009, it was officially approved as the first batch of national demonstration higher vocational colleges through the acceptance of the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Finance.
The school is located in Panyu District, Guangzhou, in the hinterland of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. It is built next to Dishuiyan Forest Park, near the Shawan exit of Dongxin Expressway, about 15 minutes' drive from Guangzhou South Railway Station, and adjacent to Luchang Farm, a national 4A scenic spot-Shawan Ancient Town, Baomo Garden and 5A scenic spot.
The school is a five-lake landscape ecological campus, and the landscape area accounts for 65% of the total area. With beautiful scenery, lush flowers and trees and evergreen seasons, the campus is a garden-style unit in Guangzhou. 20 12 was awarded the "Charming Campus of National Vocational Colleges", which is regarded as one of the most beautiful universities in China and a good place for aspiring, cultivating oneself and studying.
The school covers an area of 2,067 mu with a building area of 328,300 square meters. The total value of fixed assets exceeds 654.38+065.438+75 million yuan, of which the total value of teaching and research instruments and equipment exceeds 389 million yuan.
The library covers an area of 28,400 square meters, with 38 18 reading seats, paper books 1.35 million volumes and nearly 565 kinds of paper periodicals. The amount of digital resources is about 26,000 GB, including 599,800 e-books and 9,000 electronic academic journals. There are 47 on-campus training bases and 240 off-campus training bases, with full-time students 14070, and students are distributed in four provinces (regions) in China/kloc-0.
The school mainly focuses on higher vocational and technical education, and has three colleges (departments), such as Finance and Economics College, Modern Logistics College, Intelligent Manufacturing College, Architecture and Engineering College, Information Engineering College, Art and Design College, Jewelry College, Marxism College, Continuing Education College, Tourism and Business College, International College, Innovation and Entrepreneurship College, and Public Teaching Department. Forty-five colleges (departments) are close to the industrial structure in the Pearl River Delta region.
