The "Lazio Football Team" named after Lazio, where the capital Rome is located, was founded by Luigi Villadi in 1900. Lazio's early record was not good. 1936 ~ 1937 season, the team was close to the championship because of the joining of a generation of star viola, but unfortunately it was defeated by Bologna.
When Rome19411942 won the league championship for the first time, Lazio could only envy it. After World War II, Lazio won the Italian Football Association Cup with 1958 without viola. Not long after that. Three years later, he won only five games in the first division, and he was defeated, ranking last and being relegated. The savior who ended Lazio 10' s Serie B career and made it famous all over the world was Italian-born Welsh striker George Chinaya. Lazio are eligible to participate in the UEFA Cup of 1970 because 1969 joined. Two years later, with a goal of 2 1, Lazio returned to the first division. Finally, in the 1973 ~ 1974 season, Lazio realized its long-cherished wish-the league championship. However, not long after, Lazio was expelled from the three major European cups because of the fan riots in the UEFA Cup. The withdrawal of Chinaya, the sudden death of the rookie and the involvement of 1980 in the match-fixing scandal made Lazio suffer disappointment and humiliation and fell to the second division. Lazio has once again experienced a painful period. However, the modification of football rules in 1988 (the number of Italian first-division teams increased to 18) brought Lazio good luck to return to the first division, and good luck continued from then on. With the joining of powerful stars such as Riedel, Dole, Winter and gascoyne, Lazio's lineup has become more and more neat, and it has begun to freeze its ranking at the top of the league results list. Although Lazio cancelled the post of president, former president Cragg Notti, who still held real power, did not hesitate to provide financial support. 1994 ~ 1995 season performance is not outstanding, Zeman was fired. Lazio still won the European Cup Winners' Cup in 1998 ~ 1999 season, which established good confidence for them to win the Serie A championship again. 1999/2000 season, Lazio finally won the second league championship since the team was founded.
In 2006, he was almost relegated because of the alleged match-fixing incident, and finally got the penalty of deducting league points. But under unfavorable conditions, he won the third place in the league by relying on his strong cohesion!
