The real name of the feeder, loneliness, means helplessness, and it is Sudato. Because of his generosity, he was unparalleled in the world, and later he became famous under his new name. He was born in the Acropolis.
One day, he went to Wang Shecheng's in-laws to deal with some business matters. But my brother-in-law didn't come out to meet him as usual. Bertato found him busy preparing family dinner in the backyard. Upon inquiry, he was delighted to learn that all these were for entertaining the Buddha the next day. Just the word Buddha made him interested and sincerely longed to see Buddha. He was told that the Buddha lived in the nearby Sida forest and could see him the next day. Rest that night. But his desire to worship Buddha became stronger and stronger, and he didn't sleep a wink all night. The next morning, before dawn, he got up and set off for Sida Forest. Because of the infinite trust in Buddha, a beam of light radiates from him and illuminates him. It was dark outside, and when he passed a cemetery, he couldn't help but get scared and wanted to go back. At this time, Hag informed vaja that stealth encouraged him to say:
"One hundred elephant horses, one hundred mule carts, one hundred thousand beauties, jewelry and earrings, less than one sixteenth, step forward, forward, not backward." ( 1)
His sense of terror suddenly disappeared, resulting in infinite trust in the Buddha, and light appeared again. His courage doubled and he accelerated. This phenomenon appeared two or three times in a row, and finally he came to Sida Woods. The Buddha walked back and forth in an open place. He already knows about his visit. Call him by his first name and invite him over.
Hearing the Buddha calling his name, he was happy for loneliness, bowed down and respectfully asked Hou Buddha. The Buddha replied:
"If you want to destroy the arhat, you don't want sex dust when you are happy. You are completely cool, break all kinds of obstacles, stop suffering and worry, be quiet and happy, just because of peace of mind." (2)
Hearing this method, the lonely old man got the first holy fruit, and then the Buddha was invited to spend the rainy season in the Acropolis. The Buddha accepted his invitation and suggested, for example, enjoying silence. Give loneliness back to the Acropolis and spend huge sums of money to buy gardens. This garden originally belonged to Prince Migto. He bought the garden at the cost of paving the floor with gold, and spent huge sums of money to build the famous Miheto Pavilion. Buddha spent 19 rainy seasons here. During his lifetime, the Buddha lived here most of the time and told many classics.
Although the lonely old man never wanted to cause trouble to the Buddha, and tried to restrain himself from asking questions to him, the Buddha told him several classics that lay people were particularly interested in.
Once, the Buddha gave a lecture on giving, telling him the great merits of supporting the Buddha and the Sangha alone, but the merits of building temples and providing services for monks are far greater than this. Converting to Buddhism and Buddhism is more meritorious than building temples. Compared with the conversion to the Three Treasures, observing the Five Commandments has greater merits, while practicing compassion and meditating for a moment is greater than observing the Five Commandments, and the most important of all merits is being able to understand all impermanence. (3)
It is obvious from this passage that giving is the first step in Buddhist life, and it is more important for Biebusch to observe the Five Commandments and regulate his words and deeds. More importantly, it is more conducive to cultivating noble virtues such as guiding spontaneous compassion. (4):
"When the opportunity is ripe, laymen who enjoy material happiness for a long time can have four kinds of fun: the happiness of owning, the happiness of wealth, the happiness of being light without debt and the happiness of feeling innocent."
What is the happiness you have?
Here, good people get wealth through hard work, gather with their own hands, get legal and legitimate wealth through sweat, thinking in their hearts: the legal wealth obtained through hard work is mine. Happiness will come to me, and satisfaction will come to me. This is the happiness of having.
What is the joy of wealth?
Here, a good man is built on the wealth obtained by hard work, or enjoys a rich life, or does good deeds and thinks for himself: with this wealth, I enjoy the happiness of being rich and do merits extensively. Happiness will come to me, and satisfaction will come to me. This is the happiness of wealth.
What is debt-free happiness?
Here, a good man without debt thinks: I don't owe any debt. Happiness comes to me, and satisfaction comes to me. This is called debt-free happiness.
What is happiness without guilt?
Here, all saints and disciples, I am innocent in body, mouth and heart, so I think for myself: innocent in body, innocent in mouth and innocent in heart. Happiness comes to me, and contentment comes to me. The name is blameless happiness.
Happy people who have no debt remember happiness, and when they enjoy this wealth, they see it, see it and feel it with wisdom. These two ways are the most intelligent. Compared with no blame, one sixteenth.
Another time, the Buddha went to a lonely house and heard a loud noise from the back room. He asked what was going on.
"Dear Lord, my daughter-in-law Jato lives with us. She is rich and comes from a wealthy family. She never despises her mother-in-law, father-in-law, husband or respects her. " Answered loneliness.
The Buddha called her to himself and told her an enlightening classic, explaining seven wives in ancient and modern times.
1, evil is not right, cruel and heartless; I like other men, alienate my husband, be a prostitute, and torture men in isolation. This name bothers my wife.
2. Earn a small profit, even if you squander it, waste your husband's labor, do business or farm to make a fortune. The thief's wife.
3. Poor livelihood, laziness, laziness, vulgarity, ruthlessness, love to swear, and treat hardworking people at will. A noble wife.
4, charity and compassion, love her husband, such as a mother protecting her son and protecting her husband's accumulated wealth. The mother's wife
5. Respect your husband as a brother, be modest, and live in your own home according to your husband's preferences. This sister-like wife.
6. I like to see my husband if I haven't seen him for a long time; Born in a kind family, virtuous and loyal. This friend's wife.
7. When encountering injury or danger, be calm and don't get angry; Endure everything with a harmless heart, don't get angry, and live with her husband's preferences. A maid-like wife.
After talking about the seven characteristics of wives, the Buddha said that troublesome wives, thief wives and aristocratic wives are not good and ideal; A wife like a mother, a wife like a sister, a wife like a friend, and a wife like a servant girl are all good and should be greatly appreciated.
"Losing Jia Tuo, this is seven kinds of wives that men may have. Which one are you? "
"Dear Lord, I only hope that you will treat me as a maid's wife from now on."
In order to be lonely, I often worship Buddha during the day. He found that some people went to worship Buddha, but they were disappointed because the Buddha was not there. He asked Ananda if there was any way for devout believers to show their respect when the Buddha went out to talk. The Buddha heard about it, and as a result, he planted an Ananda Bodhi tree at the entrance of the temple, which has grown to this day.
Bana Roquena is his virtuous wife, and Maha Boto, Chulo Boto and Bo Mona are his three filial daughters. Two of them have won the first fruit, and the youngest one has won the second. His only son, Carol, was not interested in Buddhism at first. Later, under his convenient and skilled education, he became a saint. On his deathbed, he listened to the profound Buddhism taught by Elder Sharifutsu. (5)
Before he died, he sent messengers to tell the Buddha that he was seriously ill and made his last prayer to the Buddha. He hoped that Sharifutsu would be merciful and rest at home. After being invited, Sharifutsu, accompanied by the venerable Ananda, came to his home to visit his health. He said that he was in great pain and saw no hope of improvement.
Elder Sharifutsu explained the secret Buddhism to him. Finally, he burst into tears. Seeing all this, the venerable Ananda asked him if he had degenerated into evil and answered loneliness: "Not at all. Dear sir, although I have been close to the Buddha and his disciples for a long time, I have never heard of such a unique method. "
"Such a broad and profound Buddhism is only taught to disciples with certain accomplishments, not to Bai Juyi, because they don't understand its meaning." Sharifutsu replied.
However, for lonely elders, it is a profound way to ask the venerable Sharifutsu to speak to the laity, because maybe someone will understand.
These two big disciples soon left, died to the lonely elders, and immediately went to live and lead the world.
That night, heaven and man came to Buddha alone. The whole camel forest was lit up. After worshipping Buddha, he praised Sharifutsu's virtue. He said that when he saw his Buddha and his disciples living in the temple he built, he was very happy: "Virtue and wisdom, such as legal and spiritual training, are based on virtue, and mortals are net, neither wealth nor power."
