Li Haisheng introduced that there are many Hunan people in Myanmar. The main reason behind this is the high participation of Hunan people in several local industries. The first is the jewelry industry, mainly making jade articles, with about 3,000 people. Most of them are from Qidong, Hengyang, mainly in Mandalay. The second is the marine industry. About twenty-four or five years ago, a Hunan native named Wang came to the local area and brought out many "disciples and grandchildren". Now, it can be said that Hunan people account for half of Myanmar's marine industry. In addition, there are many people in Hunan in construction-related industries.
He said that there are still great differences between the two countries in personality and life customs. China people, especially Hunan people, are rough and heroic by nature, while Burmese people are relatively low-key and peaceful, and their philanthropy is quite developed. For example, Myanmar has an unwritten rule after the slightly larger investment by the Investment Committee: after making money, can it make some charitable donations with about 2% of the overall profit? However, over the years, great changes have taken place in the personality of Hunan people in Myanmar. More and more Hunan people are integrated into the ranks of Myanmar, and they will also make corresponding donations to orphanages and nursing homes, and will also hold related activities. Some organizations in China also hold some free clinics. In this slow integration, the relationship between the two peoples has become closer and closer.
