There are four kinds of Buddha statues in the temple: one, three, five and seven. Because the main Buddha is Sakyamuni Buddha. For example, Lingyin Temple in Hangzhou and Longhua Temple in Shanghai. The founder of Buddhism, Sakyamuni, is called "Buddha" and "Tathagata". There are three common statues: one is sitting in a daze, that is, sitting cross-legged. The left hand is placed horizontally, indicating meditation; Hanging his right hand straight means that Sakyamuni sacrificed himself for all beings before becoming a monk. All this can only be proved by the earth. This kind of statue is called "Taoist statue". The other is to sit cross-legged, with the left hand placed horizontally and the right hand pointing upward in a circle, which is the Buddha's "talking like". There is also a statue of Sakyamuni: the left hand hangs down, indicating that it can satisfy the wishes of all beings; The bent arm of the right hand extends upward, indicating that it can relieve the suffering of all beings. This statue is called "Sandalwood Buddha".
The three main buddhas also have different names. Some of them are consecrated as "Heng III Buddha", and Heng III refers to the simultaneous space world. In the center of the hall is Sakyamuni in the Bodhisattva world, the pharmacist Buddha in the pure glass world in the east on the left and Amitabha Buddha in the western paradise on the right. Some worship the "Three Buddhas", which refer to the past, present and future. In the center of the temple is the present Sakyamuni Buddha, on the left is the past burning Buddha, and on the right is the future Maitreya Buddha.
Sakyamuni is the leader of the female world, which is the world where Sakyamuni educates the world. It is full of unbearable suffering, and all beings are sinful. Buddhas and Bodhisattvas strive to educate and show great mercy. The pharmacist Buddha is the leader of the pure glass world, dominating people's health, food and clothing, physical and mental well-being, and having children. In the Buddhist temple, he holds a bowl in his left hand and a pill in his right hand, showing a lovely image of saving lives; Amitabha is the leader of the western paradise. People here are carefree, but they can enjoy themselves. Gold is land, jewels are like mountains, flowers are red and birds are noisy.
The Sanskrit transliteration of the burning Buddha is Tikh Luo Ji, in addition, it has been translated into Yuanbao Buddha. According to the ninth volume of Great Wisdom, the Buddha was born at night. But as soon as he was born, everything around him lit up like a lamp, and the whole room lit up, so his parents named him "burning lamp" According to the book Ruiying Benqi Sutra, Sakyamuni was a devout Buddhist in his last life. At that time, he bought a rare lotus with five stems for burning Buddha. Because lotus is a sacred flower in Buddhism (Hokkekyo symbolizes the purity and elegance of Buddhist teachings), the five-stem lotus is a treasure among sacred flowers. Therefore, this kind of support makes the burning lamp Tathagata deeply happy. In addition to rejoicing, the Buddha also gave this believer (the predecessor of Sakyamuni) a record, predicting that he would become a Buddha and gave it to Sakyamuni Buddha after the September 11th disaster.
Maitreya Buddha was originally a native of southern Tianzhu, surnamed Maitreya and Aydo, and was born in a noble Brahmin family. He preached with Sakyamuni, suffered a lot, and finally became a Buddha. According to the scripture, Maitreya is the Buddha second only to Sakyamuni (Tathagata), and it is in a supplementary position, ranking fifth among the "sages robbing thousands of buddhas" (there are thousands of buddhas). Maitreya experienced a disaster of 4,000 Buddha years (5.67 billion years on earth) in the west, and was born in the reincarnation of more than 500 years BC, assisting Sakyamuni. Later, he ran out of karma and jumped out of the three realms. In the words "three meetings" under "Hualin Garden and Hualin Tree", everything melted and became "the connection between heaven and man". Its surname is Maitreya, and the ancient Tianzhu means kindness and kindness; Its name is Aiduo, which means that no one can win and be invincible. As the name implies, it is said that the most famous achievement of this statue is Samadhi. When he preaches in the world, he always smiles and makes everyone feel good. Maitreya Buddha is also a "future Buddha" in Buddhism.
