By using monostable trigger, the input rectangular pulse signals with different widths are converted into pulse signals with the same width. Obviously, the pulse width cannot be greater than the minimum input pulse width.

Schmidt trigger can shape pulse signals with different input amplitudes, but it cannot shape signals with fixed pulse width.
