What other ingredients can be added besides oats when making low-calorie and reduced-fat oatmeal cookies?

Oats, also known as brome and wild wheat. Oats are generally divided into two categories: palea type and bare-grain type. The oats cultivated in various countries around the world are mainly of the lemma type, often called skin oats. The oats cultivated in my country are mainly naked-grain type, often called naked oats. Naked oats have many aliases. They are called buckwheat in North my country; they are called jade wheat in northwest China; they are called oats in southwest China, sometimes also called buckwheat; and they are called bell wheat in northeastern China. It is a low-sugar, high-nutrition and high-energy food.

Oatmeal is a green food made from selected naked oats from the alpine mountains of Saibei. It is not only high in nutrients but also of excellent quality. It is one of the more popular foods among modern people. It was selected as one of the top ten health foods by Time Magazine in the United States.

Oatmeal is one of the most popular whole grains among people who want to lose weight. It is high in protein, easy to digest, and has a strong feeling of satiety. But it seems that everyone only knows how to drink it by brewing it. My family bought two cans some time ago, and it is boring to drink it every day. Later, I made this oatmeal cookie. I didn’t even eat a few pieces myself, but my kids all ate them. They all said it was so delicious!

Ingredients required

120g instant oatmeal, 60g flour, 60g maltose (or replace with 30g white sugar), 40g dried cranberries, 15g black sesame seeds , 30 grams of corn oil, 2 eggs.

① Beat two eggs in a bowl first. Use larger eggs, because if the eggs are small, you may need to add some milk to form a ball. 30 grams of cooking oil with a smaller smell can be halved if you are worried about the high calories during the weight loss period. 60 grams of maltose. Because maltose is difficult to melt at room temperature, we put the bowl in a hot water basin and stirred it to dissolve easily. If using white sugar or brown sugar, 30 grams is enough. No need to sit in hot water.

② Add 120 grams of instant oatmeal to the egg liquid. It is best to use instant oatmeal, which has a better taste. If you only have large whole slices at home, you can use a food processor to break them up before using. 40 grams of dried cranberries, chopped in advance. 15 grams of black sesame seeds and 60 grams of low-gluten flour. Then stir evenly until it forms a dough.

③ Line a baking sheet with oiled paper, wear disposable gloves or grease your palms to prevent sticking. Roll the oats into small balls and place them spaced apart on the baking sheet. Cover the top with a piece of oil paper, use a flat-bottomed bottle cap, and press the small balls into pancakes, making them as thin as possible so they are crispy. Then peel off the oil paper on top. Set the lower tube of the oven to 140 degrees and the upper tube to 160 degrees, and bake for about 20 to 25 minutes.

④ Bake until browned and ready to serve. It's not too crispy when it's freshly baked, but it will become crispy naturally after cooling.

It's fragrant and crispy, with a texture similar to tracker pancakes. It's delicious but not greasy, especially suitable during the weight loss period!
