What material is the hook of electric hoist made of?
Generally, steel DG20, DG20Mn, DG20Mn and alloy steel DG34GrMo, DG34CrNiMo are used as the hooks for forging electric hoists. After forging, stamping, annealing and machining, they have the characteristics of high strength and good plastic toughness. Scales are generally used in large-tonnage places scorched by strong hot objects. Usually, the sheet hook is made of A3, 20# or 16Mn steel plate, with a thickness of not less than 20mm, which will not break suddenly and has high reliability. The fracture caused by defects is limited to individual steel plates, and the remaining steel plates can still bear the lifting load, and only individual steel plates need to be replaced, so it has greater safety. However, the hook can only be made into a rectangular section, so the material of the hook body can not be fully utilized. Because there are many quality defects in casting materials, it is not allowed to use cast steel hooks, welded hooks or steel with high strength and low impact toughness for hoisting machinery. When forging the hook, the rated lifting weight, factory mark, inspection mark, date and number should be printed in the low stress area, and the forging factory should provide documents that have passed the surface inspection and load test.
