Hospital History of Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital for Nationalities in Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture
Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture Ethnic Chinese Medicine Hospital was established in 1986. Its predecessor was Jishou Town United Clinic, which was built in 1954. 1958 was changed to jishou county hospital of traditional Chinese medicine, and 1969 was decentralized to jishou town hospital of traditional Chinese medicine. 1982, 1984 recovered to Jishou Town Chinese Medicine Hospital. 1In August, 986, Jishou National Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine was placed under the State Administration, and the organization name was "Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture National Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine". ; In the same year, the National Institute of Ethnic Medicine was merged into the newly established National Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine for Nationalities. After 17 years of efforts, the hospital has now developed into a second-class Chinese medicine hospital and a national baby-friendly hospital with complete infrastructure, advanced medical equipment, strong technical force and scientific management system, integrating Chinese medicine, western medicine and ethnic medicine, and integrating medical treatment, prevention, rehabilitation, scientific research and teaching. It is one of the medical centers of integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine in the border area of Hunan, Hubei, Chongqing and Guizhou.
