Lei was able to set up his own studio in China without canceling the contract with SM, which of course could not be separated from the support of SM and Li Xiuman.

It is precisely because of SM company's support for LAY that LAY has stayed in SM company until now, and has not terminated the contract.

Lai's early experience

Lei was born in Changsha, Hunan Province. At the age of 6, he participated in the contemporary rural TV series "My People"; Middle school students study in high school attached to hunan normal university. In 2000, I joined the Jimmy Lin Music Club and sang songs. I first came into contact with the TV screen. In 2005, he participated in the competition of Star College in Shi Jing, Hunan, and won the third place in the final. After the game, Lai returned to school to continue his studies. While at school, he will take part in the performance of the school culture and art festival.

In 2008, LAY was selected as a trainee of SM Entertainment Co., Ltd. through China S.M. casting system.
